Fallout 4 eGuide STAT Perks

Crafting

Are you making due with ramshackle gear and irradiated food? Is your settlement failing to meet the needs of a growing population? Are too many of your hard-earned Caps going toward stimpaks and RadAway? If you can’t find the items you need, try making them yourself! Workshops and workstations make crafting a breeze.

Turn a bit of raw meat into a satisfying meal. Use junk items to expand your settlements and build powerful mods for your favorite gear. Craft chems and explosives, salvage valuable components, and keep your Power Armor in ready condition for combat. Advanced recipes often require specific perks—and some only become available after you complete certain tasks—but with the proper ingredients, you can craft useful items at any workstation.

  • Workshops: Use workshops to build structures, furniture, turrets, resources, and more. With the right components, you can build anything and everything your settlement needs. With the right selection of perks, you can do much, much more.
  • Armor workbenches: Use these workbenches to modify, rename, or scrap customizable apparel. Invest in all available ranks of the Armorer and Science! perks to take full advantage of armor workbenches.
  • Chemistry stations: Use these workstations to craft chems, explosives, Syringer ammo, and cutting fluid. Rank 1 of the Chemist perk is required to craft advanced chems. If explosives pique your interest, invest heavily in the Demolition Expert and Science! perks—it takes considerable skill to craft the most advanced mines and grenades.
  • Cooking stations: Use these workstations to craft food, drink, and vegetable starch. Cooking doesn’t require any special perks, but you’ll need a steady supply of fresh ingredients to stay well fed. Many of the fruits, vegetables, and meat you collect can be used to prepare dishes that are safer and more satisfying than anything you’ll find in the wild.
  • Power Armor stations: Use these workstations to modify or repair Power Armor. Invest in all available ranks of Armorer, Science!, and Blacksmith to take full advantage of Power Armor stations.
  • Weapons workbenches: Use these workbenches to modify, rename, or scrap customizable weapons. To make the most of a weapons workbench, invest in all available ranks of the Gun Nut, Science!, and Blacksmith perks.
