Kent Connolly: Silver Shroud Superfan
There’s all sorts of folks to meet in Goodneighbor. Over in the Memory Den, for example, is a friendly Ghoul called Kent Connolly. Obsessed isn’t a strong enough word to describe how he feels about the Hubris Comics superhero, the Silver Shroud. In fact, he wants to play caped crusader, though he’s missing the actual costume. The one in Hubris Comics that you’re going to get for him.
Head on over to Hubris Comics (to the west, close to Boston Common), and work your way up the interior of the building. The place is overrun with ferals and features some open-air flooring to fall through if you aren’t careful. Climb to the top-floor recording studio. Dash and grab the costume. Flee via the roof ladder or descend back down.
The Silver Shroud Rises Again!
Return to Kent and you’re given a reward. He’s so excited about the costume, he has a slight change of plan: Kent’s going to use his radio station like a police scanner. You’re supposed to wear the costume, patrol Goodneighbor’s streets, tune in, and fight crime. What could go wrong?
Submachine Gun and Ammo
The costume is optional, but tuning your Pip-Boy to Radio > Silver Shroud Radio is mandatory. Listen for Kent informing you of a problem citizen who needs a comeuppance:
- There’s Wayne Delancy, a lowlife who murdered a mother and her kid. Kent wants you to deal out some Silver Shroud justice, then leave a calling card on his corpse. Wayne is in the alley behind Hotel Rexford. Oblige Kent, then listen for further radio bulletins.
- There’s AJ, a chem dealer who has been peddling his garbage to kids. So Kent wants the Silver Shroud to strike again. And leave another calling card. Find him in an alleyway in front of Bobbi’s house, between the two warehouses. You can:
- Ignore him and skip these two objectives.
- Slay him and his bodyguards. Leave a calling card on his body. Continue to listen for further radio bulletins.

So it sounds like you’re targeting another psychopath—an assassin named Kendra. Whitechapel Charlie at the Third Rail (in Goodneighbor) can help you track her down. Costume optional. Chinwag with Whitechapel Charlie about your quarry:
- Or Bribe Charlie for information (60 caps).
- Or speak as the Shroud.
Whitechapel Charlie backs up Kent’s tale about Kendra. She’s at Water Street Apartments, close by in the ruins of the city. Enter Water Street Apartments. Remain on the lower levels, offing any Raiders. Pin Kendra in her room and drop her. Oh, what’s this? A contract on her corpse?
(Optional) The Silver Shroud Goes Rogue: Killer of Shelly Tiller
Though Kent won’t be happy, you can optionally track Kendra’s last target to the National Guard Training Facility. Beware of Feral Ghouls. Enter the recruitment office. Find Shelly and kill her. Then claim the bounty yourself. A tool case is located just west of the entrance to Goodneighbor and northeast of the Old Granary Burying Ground. Open it and claim the reward:
The Silver Shroud: Kill Me, Kate
Kendra and her goons have been dispatched. It’s back to Goodneighbor and Kent’s radio station to learn what’s next. Back in Goodneighbor, meet up with Mayor Hancock. Feel free to dress and act as the Silver Shroud when speaking with him. Agree to help rid the area of more scum.
Your next target is radioed in: Though Smiling Kate can’t lose her grin, she can certainly be taken down a peg or two. Head north into Charleston Neighborhood, close to Bunker Hill. Beware of Sinjin’s Gang (Raiders). Defeat all foes.
The Silver Shroud: Northy’s Not Worthy
Find Northy just south of Wattz Consumer Electronics in the Cambridge Neighborhood. Beware of his bodyguards (Raiders). Chase after Northy and slay him. Check his corpse and read the note you find.
The Silver Shroud: Sinjin’s Last Stand
The local crime boss whose underlings you’ve been offing—Sinjin—is heading to Goodneighbor to pay a “special” visit to Kent. Alas, you’re too late! Use the radio to find out where Kent’s been taken: Milton General Hospital, south of the city. Bring your best combat gear and prepare for a protracted battle with Raiders. Work your way through the floors and elevators to a final elevator down.
Use V.A.T.S. and high-damage weaponry to remove Sinjin and the Raider named Avery to avoid a more depressing end to Kent’s story. When you’ve mown down anyone not excited to see you, end this caper.
If Kent is still alive, he offers to upgrade your armor at Levels 25, 35, and 45. Now conclude the quest by speaking to Hancock in Goodneighbor; he hands over a reward too—an impressive haul of caps.
