Secondary Locations

[13.01] Rooftop Apartment (North End)

  • Armaments and Ammo

Access this rooftop via the scaffold stairs (Secondary Location 13) just northwest of Old North Church, and cross the rooftops. This small apartment has some hoarded bric-a-brac.

[13.02] North End Graveyard

  • Faction: Feral Ghouls
  • Quest Visit: The Gilded Grasshopper (Side)
  • Unique Item: Shem Drowne’s Sword

Be sure to inspect the ancient gravestone in the northwest corner of this old, prewar graveyard, inhabited by North End’s former residents.

[13.03] Railroad HQ Escape Tunnel Exit

  • Faction: Railroad
  • Faction: Raiders

Once you visit the Old North Church and wish to visit the Railroad faction, exit via this location (to unlock the chained door), and then return to this dilapidated warehouse and head back via the escape tunnel.

[13.04] Raider Courtyard (North End)

  • Bottlecaps
  • Faction: Raiders

With views of the U.S.S. Constitution to the north, this dockside courtyard is now part of the Raider territory extending into Pickman’s Gallery to the south. Mooch around here to find a Caps stash between the large shipping containers. There’s a ruined white brick building to the northeast with minimal loot and a rusting fire escape on the west side that allows roof access to this block.

[13.05] Hot Pizza Pie Shop

  • Faction: Raiders

This wharfside pizza diner has more Raiders milling about. The roof terrace is inaccessible (unless you’re using a jetpack). There’s little here to entice a  looter.

[13.06] Crashed Vertibird (Military Barge)

A barge of military equipment has been stranded here for decades after the tugboat sank. Scavenge the area for a trunk (inside the blue container) and some Power Armor and a Fusion Core inside the locked cage. Use the terminal (Novice) to open the cage.

[13.07] Wharfside Cottage

  • Armaments and Ammo
  • Faction: Raider

You can enter the small cottage north of a once-quaint courtyard to see the contents of a cat lover’s abode.

[13.08] Rooftop Lounger

This rooftop rest spot offers great views and reasonable sniping opportunities. Access it via the rubble pile to the north.

[13.09] Skytram (North End Elevated Freeway)

  • Armaments and Ammo: Trunk
  • Faction: Robots
  • Quest Visit: Weathervane (Railroad)

Look up at the freeway towering above this district to see the remains of the skytram. The cockpit has a trunk to ransack. However, you must access the skytram from the Garden Terrace, over in the Financial District.

[13.10] Mean Pastries

Once offering the best baked goods in town, this shop now offers a floor safe to pick (Expert) and an emaciated cat. Enter using either the north or south entrances.

[13.11] Pickman’s Exit

An exit hatch links this narrow and ruined apartment to Pickman’s Gallery to the north. The hatch requires a key to open, which is only available during the quest.

[13.12] Boxing Gym

You’re probably getting enough exercise, so use this place to scavenge for ammo and chems. There’s a footlocker (Novice) and safe (Advanced) to unlock, and the smell of sweat still lingers.

[13.13] Scaffold Stairs (North End)

Just northwest of Old North Church, this allows access to the rooftops west and north of here. Head there if you need to escape foes on the ground, too.

[13.14] Billboard Alley

  • Faction: Feral Ghouls

A small courtyard with a couple of ferals shambling about. Check the brick extension structure to the right of the GNN poster: Use the fallen tree to climb to the roof, and drop inside to access a steamer trunk. Then unlock the chained door.

[13.15] Ruined Brick Apartment (North End)

Climb the rubble to reach the rooftops south of Old North Church, and pick the lock of the safe (Expert).

[13.16] Subway Station (North End)

The subway station in this neighborhood has a small interior to search. Aside from the two cool customers facing a small (bloody) cage, there’s chems and Caps behind the counter.

[13.17] Paul Revere’s House

Built in 1680, this wooden building is the oldest structure in all of Boston. In 1770 this home was bought by famed patriot Paul Revere. He dwelled here with his family (including his 16 children) until 1800. Paul Revere was living here when he made his famous midnight ride to Lexington and Concord to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that Redcoats were en route to arrest them and seize the militia weaponry.

This is part of the Freedom Trail. The number “8” is daubed on the circular ground plaque pointing at the letter “D.” This structure is mostly a shell, with a small Super Mutant encampment outside.
