During your travels, you’re sure to amass quite a collection of armor pieces. There are a few exceptions, but most armor pieces belong to one of five basic armor sets:
Each armor set offers a different balance of resistances and overall weight. And because each piece is equipped separately, you can mix and match pieces from different sets to meet your specific needs. You can even modify individual armor pieces for better protection or increased utility.
Combat Armor
A full set of combat armor is fairly heavy, but it boasts an excellent balance of Damage Resistance and Energy Resistance. Combat armor can be found on a variety of powerful enemies, but these pieces are particularly popular among Gunners.

Leather Armor
Leather armor can’t match the Damage Resistance offered by most armor sets, but it’s an excellent option for those who prefer to travel light. It’s also very common—low-level Raiders and Gunners often carry one or more pieces of leather armor, making it fairly easy to collect a complete set.

Raider Armor
