Fallout 4 eGuide DLC Vault-Tec Workshop Vault-Tec Workshop Items

Power

This section of the workshop menu contains new generators, connectors, light options, and a particularly useful tool for settlement management.

New or Expanded Subcategories:

Power > Generators

Heavily developed settlements come with significant power demands. Luckily, the Vault-Tec Workshop adds some very powerful (if somewhat costly) generators to this subcategory.

Vault-Tec Reactors (and Super Reactors) are designed to connect directly to Vault-Tec structures, piping a steady supply of power throughout an entire facility. Of course, these generators also feature more traditional wire anchors, ensuring that any power-hungry settlement can benefit from these efficient and surprisingly quiet reactors.

Power > Connectors & Switches

This subcategory now contains a few new conduits specifically designed for life underground. Vault-Tech structures feature embedded conduits that allow power to pass through all connected rooms. However, tapping into this power generally requires a “Vault Power Conduit.” Once in place, this device not only serves as an active wire anchor, it emits a considerable amount of radiant power. You’ll also find a small selection of low-profile power conduits, minimizing the space required for additional wiring.

It should be noted that while the “Vault Power Conduit” can only snap to the center of a smooth Vault-Tec wall, smaller conduits can be attached to virtually any surface.

Power > Lights

Within the confines of a Vault, space is at a premium. Luckily, this section of the Workshop menu now includes some low-profile fluorescent lights. In fact, many of the new additions can actually be mounted within Vault room ceilings, allowing aesthetically-minded builders to hide light sources from view. This subcategory also contains some new tinted lights for those who prefer a bit of color.

Power > Miscellaneous

Only one new item appears in this subcategory, but it’s a particularly useful addition. The “Vault-Tec Population Management System” can offers all of the functions of a standard terminal, but it can also be used to manage a settlement’s workforce, locate forgotten companions, and more.
