This Charming Man
Vadim, the jocular owner of the Dugout Inn, is hoping you’ll help him improve the confidence of Diamond City Radio’s DJ, Travis Miles. Agree to help, and return to the inn after 6:00 p.m. You witness Travis being harassed by a greaser named Bull. Speak to Travis and encourage him as you wish. A fistfight starts. Pummel Bull (and his sidekick, Gouger) if necessary. Chat to both Travis and Vadim afterward. That went reasonably well, they reckon.
Vadim’s next plan involves Scarlett, the Dugout Inn’s waitress, who needs to be talked into spending some quality time with Travis Miles. Find her in the Dugout Inn or around Diamond City. Answer her without your usual witty charm, or:
Return to the Dugout Inn and speak with Yefim. He tells you that Bull had an altercation with Vadim and the barkeeper has disappeared!
Beatdown at Beantown
Travis knows the score. Find him in Diamond City, and he reveals Vadim has been kidnapped. He agrees to meet you at old Beantown Brewery. Make sure he comes home in one piece. Well, both of them really.
Beware of Raiders. Battle your way to Vadim’s location. A named Raider “Tower Tom,” Bull, and Gouger need more than a swift talking to. After you spray their blood across the brewery walls, untie Vadim and he rewards you for your help. A chat with Travis indicates he’s a lot more confident now. But hardened. As you’ll hear if you tune into his future broadcasts on Diamond City Radio.
