Case Closed

This quest only becomes available when you’ve successfully identified Ezra Parker (who’s been posing as Julianna Riggs) as the murderer in Side Quest: Brain Dead. Available objectives change based on how you chose to deal with Ezra.

Option 1: Help Ezra

This option is only available if you agreed to let Ezra go free. Wait for him to flee the Vault, then return to Maxwell and reveal that Ezra is the killer. You can end your report with one of three claims: Ezra got away, Ezra has been killed, or Ezra is no longer a threat to Vault 118. No matter which option you choose, Maxwell pays you the promised reward.

Option 2: Betray Ezra

This option is only available if you agreed to let Ezra go free. Before Ezra can escape, return to Maxwell and reveal what you’ve learned. Watch (or help) as the Vault 118 security team destroys the fleeing murderer. When the fight ends, speak to Maxwell to receive your payment. You can also collect any desired items from Ezra/Julianna’s remains.

Option 3: Attack Ezra

Agree to let Ezra go free and immediately attack him. Defeat Ezra, then return to Maxwell and tell him you’ve solved the case and eliminated the killer. You receive your payment along with whatever valuables you might have collected from Ezra/Julianna’s remains.

Option 4: Subdue Ezra

Refuse to let Ezra go free and wait for him to turn hostile. Defeat Ezra, then return to Maxwell and tell him what happened. You receive your payment along with whatever valuables you might have collected from Ezra/Julianna’s remains.
