New Management

This quest only becomes available when you complete Main Quest: The Way Life Should Be by agreeing to help DiMA deal with High Confessor Tektus. DiMA believes that the best way to maintain peace on the Island is to replace this incendiary figure, and he’s relying on you to facilitate the switch.

DiMA’s plan requires a voice sample of the previous High Confessor. Travel to the marked location, enter the drainage pipe, and collect the Holotapes from Martin’s refuge.

What Atom Requires

The Execution

Return to Acadia and give Martin’s Holotapes to DiMA. After listening to the recordings, DiMA uses samples of Martin’s voice to create a new Holotape he’d like you to play for High Confessor Tektus.

Martin’s New Age

Travel to the Nucleus and speak to High Confessor Tektus about Martin’s return. When Tektus demands to hear the recording, use your Pip-Boy to play the Holotape “Martin’s New Age.” Once Tektus agrees to meet you in private, travel to the agreed-upon spot in the Nucleus’ command center.

If you’ve completed at least three Nucleus quests (including Visions in the Fog), High Confessor Tektus trusts you enough to meet you alone. Otherwise, Tektus is suspicious enough to bring armed escorts to the meeting. Either way, you have two basic options: kill High Confessor Tektus and any guards he might have brought, or persuade him to flee the Island.

If you choose to kill High Confessor Tektus, hide his remains (and those of any guards) in the nearby burial spot. After you’ve dealt with Tektus, return to Acadia and speak with DiMA to receive some caps (about 1500) and the Protector of Acadia perk.
