Touring the Major Attractions

Once Main Quest: An Ambitious Plan concludes, and the leaders of all three of the raider factions are met, your task as Overboss is to assign a faction to each of the five park zones. This involves heading into each zone, completing the associated and additional quest within that zone that allows access to the zone’s flag pole, and then assigning the zone (via a raised flag) to a particular faction. At this point, you are to choose which faction to assign the zone to: the Disciples, the Operators, or the Pack.

Check the end of this quest for the reasons to choose a particular faction over another.

Galactic Zone: Star Control

The Galactic Zone is full of robots and Star Cores: circuit boards that slot into a mainframe console. Collect 20 during this mission to access the flagpole. Collect all 35 (accessible only after the Main Questing is over) for a special suit of Power Armor.

Dry Rock Gulch: High Noon at the Gulch

This western-themed park area has Protectron cowboys and a real problem with bloodworms. You need to complete tasks to find a safe combination. Have you done this quest wearing the Silver Shroud costume yet? You receive different comments from the cowboys.

Kiddie Kingdom: A Magical Kingdom

A crazed ghoul magician rules the roost here, and continuously sprays the zone with irradiated mist. Little wonder that the main source of combat is from ghouls. Watch the radiation level here, and once you’ve solved Oswald’s problem, the park’s flag can be assigned.

Safari Adventure

A scavenger raised by ghoulrillas is still alive and battling a plague of deadly gatorclaws. Head in here and help him out, then either force him to leave, stay with a faction (he prefers The Pack), or kill him and his ape buddies.

Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant: A World of Refreshment

Aside from the Nuka-Cola spray-painted T-51f Power Armor to scavenge here, you’re entering this zone to slay the abundance of nukalurks (and possibly mirelurks), which come in all varieties from hatchlings to the King and Queen. With the area secured, the flag can then be assigned.

Tour Completion: Getting Territorial

Assign a gang to occupy each of the park’s zones based on which factions you wish to favor and which you wish to annoy. There are five zones and three gangs, so decide on your optimal plan after considering the following factors:

  • At the end of Main Quest: Home Sweet Home and beginning of Main Quest: Power Play, the gang you assign the least number of locations to will turn on you, and must be slain. Pick two of the gangs to be friendly with as early as possible; give one of them three zones, and the other gang two zones.
  • Each gang has a perk that is granted at the end of Main Quest: Power Play, as well as a unique weapon, so make sure the two gangs you favor will grant the perks and weapons that most benefit your style of play. You also receive Radiant Quests and tribute chests from the two factions as well, but not until the Nuka-World Main Quest begins to conclude.
  • The previous knowledge presupposes you didn’t turn on the gangs and slay them, in accordance with Preston Garvey’s wishes, as part of Main Quest: Open Season.
