eGuides help
The library moved from eguides.primagames.com to primagames.com/eguides. Most of what people ask us is about getting back into an account from the old site, so that is first. What happened to the old site covers the move itself.
Signing in
I had an account on the old eGuides site
Enter the email address you used back then and we’ll send you a sign-in link. There’s no password to remember, and every guide the account owned is already attached to it.
The sign-in link never arrived
Check your spam folder, and the Promotions tab if you’re on Gmail. Most of the time it turns out to be a different address: a guide bought in 2014 is often sitting on an email nobody uses day to day now.
Links last 15 minutes. You can ask for three an hour before the page starts telling you to wait, and if you asked twice, it’s the newer link that works.
I signed in with Facebook or Google before
Those sign-ins are gone. Use the email link instead, which works on your account. A password reset won’t help: an account that only ever used Facebook or Google never had a password, so there’s nothing to reset.
I know my password
Then use it. Sign in with a password, or reset it if you’ve forgotten. Passwords came across unchanged, so one set in 2013 still works.
The email address on my old account no longer reaches me
Then you can’t get back into that account, and we’d rather say so than have you keep trying. The email address is the only thing identifying an account, and we can’t move a purchase history to a new one on request. You can make a new account for free and read every guide in the archive. The one thing it won’t have is the ad-free reading from a code redeemed years ago.
Codes from printed guides
How do I redeem one?
Sign in, then go to Redeem a code. Type it however it’s printed, with or without the dashes. Capitals don’t matter.
What does a code give me now?
Ad-free reading across the archive, permanently. It doesn’t unlock one specific guide any more because it doesn’t need to: a free account already opens all of them in full.
It says the code was already redeemed
It has been used, either here or on the old site. We brought the redemption records across with everything else, including ones from 2018, and a code only works once. If the book was sealed when you opened it, use the contact form below and quote the code.
It says the code is not recognised
Check for a mistyped character first. 0 and O, 1 and I are the usual culprits. The DLC and bonus-content codes some books shipped with aren’t eGuide access codes, and won’t work here.
Guides you own
Where are my purchases?
My Guides lists what’s attached to your account. You don’t need it to read anything, though. Signing in opens every migrated guide in full, bought or not.
A guide I bought is not in the archive
Around 110 guides on the old site had no readable content left to migrate, mostly bundles and sports-title supplements that were never more than a page. A few others are held back.
Editions explain most of the rest. Where a guide shipped as Collector’s, Steam and Wii U versions, those were near-identical and are now one guide, and a Collector’s Edition purchase opens it.
Can I buy a guide? Can I get a refund?
Neither, sorry. Nothing here is for sale: the store closed with the old site, and reading costs nothing beyond a free account. Purchases from the old site are long past any refund window. What they still do is carry ad-free reading.
Reading
What can I read without an account?
Three guides are free from start to finish: Dragon Age Inquisition, Fallout 4 and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. On top of that, the first 3 sections of every other guide are open to anyone. Browse the free guides, or make a free account and read the lot.
A map or checklist will not load
Maps and checklists come from cartographer.gamurs.group and load inside the guide page. A privacy extension, or a network that blocks embedded frames, will stop them appearing. The rest of the page still works.
A page looks plain, or an image is missing
These guides were published between 2009 and 2018, and we serve them with their original artwork and layout, so some are plainer than others. If a page looks broken instead of plain, with no text at all or an image that never loads, tell us the guide and section and we’ll look at it.
Still stuck
Use the Prima Games contact form. Tell us the email address on the account, which guide it’s about, and what you’ve already tried, especially whether a sign-in link turned up. We can’t look up or read your password, and nobody at Prima Games will ever ask you for it.
