Holotapes
Some Holotapes contain passwords, protocols, or executable files, but many simply contain personal logs or long-forgotten messages. Load a Holotape into your Pip-Boy (or any terminal) to find out what secrets it holds. Most Holotapes are weightless and have little to no value to traders.
Keys and Passwords
Sometimes the only way to open a door is with a key. Sometimes the only way to access a terminal is with the right password. Collect keys and access cards whenever you find them, and check notes, terminals, and Holotapes for recorded passwords. Most of these items are weightless, and it’s often impossible to sell them.
Letters and Notes
Some letters and notes provide valuable information, but many just offer insight into the lives of strangers. Of course, there’s only one way to find out—pick it up and have a look!
