Swallowed by a Metal Monster
Visit the docks between the Harbormaster Hotel and the Shamrock Taphouse down on Boston Harbor. Speak to Donny Kowalski; the tyke claims he saw a sea monster in the bay. Swim out to the trash barge. Swim to the hatch and enter.
Open the bulkhead door. There’s a submarine captain who’s been here for a very long time; speak and agree to help Captain Zao.
You’ve agreed to get a nuclear dampening coil from the Saugus Ironworks to repair the submarine’s reactor. Trek roughly north and prepare yourself for a battering, courtesy of the Forged, a group of toughened Raiders who favor fire-based weapons. Ascend the interior to the blast furnace. Inside is Slag and a young man named Jake Finch.
You’re here to activate the dampening rod sleeve and grab a dampening coil. Leave (via the roof if you grab the key from Slag or Jake), and traipse back to the Yangtze.

You’re No Mate of Mine
Access the bulkhead terminal and open the door. Wind your way down into the lower bulkhead, watching for Zao’s crew, who have turned more than a little “bitey.” Work your way to the ICBM, watching for the first mate nearby. Scavenge the ICBM to obtain the warhead.
Warhead
Move to and activate the reactor core. Install the dampening coil, then the warhead. That seems to have pleased the captain!
