A New Hope in the Hills
When Preston Garvey and his friends reach Sanctuary, they’re hoping for more than just a few ruined houses and a slightly eccentric Mr. Handy robot to befriend. It is time to rebuild Sanctuary as a shining beacon of hope! Or, at the bare minimum, a place where the Minutemen can call home.
Access the workshop (via the Furniture > Beds menu), and construct any of these beds (including mattresses or sleeping bags) in an acceptable location (indicated in green). This can be in a new or preexisting structure, or even outside, but must have a roof or shelter above. The number of beds you make should be equal to or greater than the number of people.
Continue to speak to Sturges about the needs of this motley crew. Build them any purifier you wish (from the Resources > Water menu). The number should bring a water value equal to the population of your settlement.
These folks are hungry too! Access the Resources > Food menu. Plant any of the food varieties you wish. The number should
bring a food value higher than the population (so a Food value of 4 is acceptable). Remember to assign a settler to tend these plants if no one is working this land.
Finally, Sturges is hoping for some kind of defense. Choose guard posts, turrets, or traps, as you wish. The Defense value should be 2 or greater, so a guard post or tower is acceptable. Remember to assign the task of patrolling a guard location to a settler. Build and link generators to certain turrets or traps if they require power.
