Talk with Proctor Quinlan and agree to escort a Brotherhood Scribe on a research patrol. This conversation occurs once you complete Brotherhood of Steel Quest: Tour of Duty. Express interest in aiding a research patrol. Then locate the Scribe at Boston Airport.
Head to the Scribe’s (random) location. Remove all threats while ensuring the Scribe isn’t killed. Locate the terminal and guard the Scribe as he hacks it.
When the Scribe finishes collecting data, continue to protect him until you both depart the location. If he dies, the data will be lost and the mission fails. Exit the location. Fast-Travel to Proctor Quinlan to claim a Caps reward.
