The Island’s inhabitants aren’t the most welcoming lot, and the choices you make can quickly turn former friends into fierce enemies. However, the Trappers living out in the Fog generally attack any and all outsiders on sight. These crazed humans utilize custom armor and a variety of weapons, but they don’t possess any unique abilities. When you engage a Trapper, it’s usually best to aim for the head. Otherwise, simply use your weapon of choice to end the encounter as quickly as possible.
The Island is also home to some truly formidable creatures. From Gulpers and Anglers to Fog Crawlers and Hermit Crabs, the Fog-covered wilds hold dangers unlike anything found on the mainland. When facing one of the Island’s larger creatures, it’s usually best to aim for the legs-cripple vital limbs to help keep your prey at a safe distance, and chip away at its health until the battle ends.
The Island also contains some new variants of familiar creatures. In most cases, it’s best to utilize the same tactics you’d use against their Commonwealth cousins.
