Loadout Recommendations

You’re attacking Fallen for the majority of your trip into the darkness of the Arcology Sector. Some rapid-fire weaponry (or a trusty hand cannon) is good to own. You continue with a subsequent quest after this one in the same area, so prepare for a lengthy sortie.

Head from Sloane to the quest flag, and start your search for the reactor. Begin by heading into the two-level computer room interior on the southwest corner of the main rig platform. Pick either of the upper entrances near the connecting bridge to Solarium. Inside, drop the Marauders before accessing the wall terminal.

Now, move across the exterior of the main platform Sector toward a second interior computer room. It’s just to the right of the sunken ramp

leading to the blocked bridge entrance on the eastern side of the Sector. Expect usual enemies as you head across toward the circular entrance. Inside, destroy around six Shanks as you search for the second wall terminal, then hack it using Ghost. Prepare for another half-dozen Shanks to explode once the objective updates.

Exit, cross the adjacent bridge via the small room (the main sunken ramp is blocked), and head into Solarium Sector. Climb the gantry steps, and prepare some hurting for a Dreg welcoming committee on the entrance behind the massive damaged LED panel. Squeeze through into the main Festering Halls forecourt. At this point, the action heats up considerably.

Mayhem! Two Hive Ogres, Acolytes, and a Warden Servitor are battling a variety of Fallen in the central sunken area of this courtyard. There’s little need to join in the fray (unless you have a death wish), so sneak around the perimeter in a clockwise direction. Use the scenery to duck behind as you reach an energy barrier preventing progress. Blast the Servitor guarding the barrier, and it retracts, allowing you access into the winding corridor leading to Festering Halls Sector.

Head into the sunken entry area where around a dozen Dregs are milling around, along with a cluster of Thralls on the upper steps by the exit. You should defeat all of them; keep moving and jumping to avoid being overrun. Drop through the hole in the ground in the next corridor to a checkpoint area that’s coated in Hive secretions.

Make short work of the Acolyte and Dregs fighting each other, then (when you’re ready to battle Thralls) access the pedestal console. When the nearby energy wall retracts, remove them as a threat, then look for additional Thralls and the green glowing eyes of Acolytes in this darkness. Aim at them, too. Push forward into the next chamber, and find an energy wall with some Fallen behind it, including a Captain. Leave them momentarily as you turn on the reactor at a second pedestal console.

This concludes the mission, but you’ve freed the Fallen Captain, who is racing to the methane reactor before you. Make sure he’s stopped!

Respawning Restricted

During this quest, the Festering Halls Sector is a designated Restricted Zone.
