You’ve come to Mercury seeking Osiris; Ikora Rey believes he may be within the Infinite Forest. It’s your job to find a way in.

  • Present Vex
  • Descendant Vex

Reward: Legendary Engram

Outskirts of the Lighthouse

Run along the platform, and enter the small Vex portal at the end.

Keep movingin the direction of the next marker, toward a group of stairs. Further up is a small cluster of Vex, which is reinforced by another small group of Goblins and a Minotaur. Once they’re dispatched, jump on the gravity cannon.

You reach another platform in a state of disrepair. Make your way across and into the second gravity cannon.

The second gravity cannon lands you in an expansive area with more Goblins and Fanatics. Use the high ground of the elevated platforms to stay out of reach. They can be picked off one by one or destroyed en masse. Once they’re all dead, move through the small crevice in the wall.

You emerge on a ledge overlooking more large, ruin-like Vex construct platforms. It’s swarming with dusty Harpies and Hobgoblins. Move through them. They can be defeated almost effortlessly; just take the time to land your hits on their crit points, and they should be easy pickings.

Once they’ve all been downed, move on via the gravity cannon. You soar for a long distance and arrive at the Lighthouse.

In the distance a large pyramid is silhoutted against the blaze of the sun. Jump down the large steps of the Lighthouse and move toward the large gateway blaring a deep resonating note followed by a visual wake. Something, or someone is sending that signal.

Moving closer, you encounter several small clusters of various Vex. Blasting through these, you approach the pillars by the Vex gateway. The pillars are swathed in Vex and Agoros, Gatekeeper, a shielded Hydra. Unload a few precision hits or Power weapon hits to quickly remove them.

Approach the gateway. The barrier doesn’t budge, and contact is accompanied by a dissonant note. Brother Vance may be able to help. Bring Osiris’s Ghost, Sagira, to Brother Vance.

Restricted Zone

Grenades: Recommended

Timelines on Mercury are converging. Descendant Vex appear and block the path back to the Lighthouse. They are accompanied by the three-barred Tyranos, Gatekeeper, apparently a Descendant Minotaur. It can be felled easily enough.

Move on past the first Vex, on either side of the central circular construct, and you will find your path again blocked by another cluster of Descendant Vex. Their behavior and precision points haven’t altered from previous enemies.

Grenades: Recommended

The Lighthouse portal is secured by a Vex security node and a lot of Descendant Fanatics, Goblins, and Hobgoblins. Hit the central-most Fanatic to detonate peripheral Fanatics or use a grenade. Clear this initial wave.

A second wave begins with a Vex Harpy, Goblin, and Hobgoblin, but nothing you can’t handle.

Grenades: Recommended

After some of these lesser Vex have been destroyed, a boss approaches. Defeat Methodios, Module Proxy. This larger Descendant Minotaur is tougher than the last. Use nearby cover to stay out of it’s attack area.

He will stomp if approached. Use everything you’ve got at this point. Using AoE helps damage the boss and nearby Vex. It’s the little guys with their suppressive fire that put little dents in your health.

A decisive blow should take care of this boss quickly. Once the Module Proxy is defeated, the security node can be destroyed. Now, with the security node down, the portal into the Lighthouse is activated. Walk inside.

Brother Vance has built a bit of a cult of personality around Osiris, the Lighthouse being a grand altar to the works of Osiris.

Brother Vance sends you to a hidden temple on Earth to reactivate Sagira.
