Shore
Shore is a large exterior location that typically serves as a team starting area. The terrain offers some natural cover, but this location features an open layout suitable for large-scale skirmishes.
Tower
Key Location: Tower
During Control matches, Tower contains one of the map’s two Power Ammo spawn points.
Nestled between two sizable battlegrounds, Tower is a small but significant part of a major movement lane. A nearby rock formation obstructs the view into Shore, but this open structure features an excellent line of sight through Rocks and Crash, particularly if you jump up to the ledge above the main passage.
During games of Control, Tower also serves as a Power Ammo spawn point.
Ketch
Key Location: Ketch
During Control matches, Ketch contains Capture Point A. In Countdown, it holds one of the map’s two charges.
While Ketch is contained within a large piece of wreckage, the interior space is relatively compact. This makeshift structure features three points of entry, one of which is fitted with an automated door. This location provides some nice cover options and a decent view of the surrounding areas.
In most cases, you’ll find that Ketch is a strategically important location. During games of Control, it contains Capture Point A; in Countdown, one of the map’s charges appears within this enclosure.
Crash
Key Location: Crash
During games of Supremacy, Crash serves as one of the map’s three Power Ammo spawn points. In Countdown, this location is one of only two sources of Power Ammo.
Crash is a fairly large exterior area. Much of this location is tucked between sizable rock formations, but a good portion of Crash stands as one of the map’s most lethal sniping lanes. This heavily traveled area also serves as a source of Power Ammo during games of Supremacy or Countdown.
Meadow
Placed along the perimeter of the map, Meadow is most often used as a flanking route between Cave and Crash. It’s one of the map’s smaller exterior spaces and offers very little cover, but it does make for a useful vantage point.
Cave
Cave consists of a few cover options within an otherwise empty enclosure. It has five points of entry, divided among three adjacent areas. It tends to see a lot of foot traffic over the course of a match, making Cave a fairly good spot to go looking for trouble.
Grotto
Key Location: Grotto
During Control matches, Grotto contains Capture Point C.
Grotto is a large but relatively narrow location that stretches from the border of Rocks clear to the edge of the map. It features some nice bits of natural cover, but multiple points of entry make it a difficult area to hold.
In most match types, Grotto serves as a team starting area. During games of Control, it also contains one of the map’s three Capture Points.
Rocks
Key Location: Rocks
During Supremacy matches, Rocks serves as one of the map’s three sources of Power Ammo.
Located at the center of the map, Rocks tends to be a heavily used intersection. It’s too large to be considered a chokepoint, but this location is part of a fairly effective sniping lane. During games of Supremacy, Rocks also contains a Power Ammo spawn point.
Passage
The appropriately named Passage is a narrow path connecting Castle’s interior space to Rocks. It’s a useful flanking route and—thanks to a right angle that limits line of sight—a handy place to fall back and recover during hectic firefights. Like any tight space, Passage is a great place to ambush overeager pursuers.
Castle
Key Location: Castle
In games of Supremacy, Castle contains one of the map’s three Power Ammo spawn points. In Control, it holds Capture Point B. During Countdown, it contains both a charge and a Power Ammo spawn point.
Castle is a strategically important location in all match types, so it tends to be a hotly contested area. The main structure’s walls provide decent cover, but points of entry are arranged in such a way that coordinated assaults can be difficult to repel.
When it’s not hosting heated firefights, Castle serves as a useful vantage point. It offers a particularly good view of Shore, but a well-positioned sniper can pick off targets approaching from Rocks or Falls.
Dungeon
Located between Castle and Falls, Dungeon is a small distinct area unlike anything else on the map. It’s a useful flanking route and one of the map’s best settings for short-range combat.
Falls
Key Location: Falls
During games of Control, Falls features one of the map’s two Power Ammo spawn points.
Falls is a fairly large location. While it does feature a very effective sniping lane, the combination of uneven terrain and natural cover makes it somewhat easy to break line of sight during long-range gun battles. Still, it tends to see a lot of foot traffic, and it serves as a source of Power Ammo during games of Control.
