Recommended Power
  • 260
Prerequisite
  • Campaign Completion
Reward
  • EDZ Token
Description
  • Locate the source of the odd behavior spreading amongst the House of Dusk.

Loadout Recommendations

Try to equip at least one source of Arc damage to help deal with an especially powerful Fallen enemy. Much of this quest takes place in confined spaces, so choose your Power Weapon accordingly. A good sword or shotgun is likely to be more useful than a rocket launcher or sniper rifle.

Members of the Fallen House of Dusk have been acting strangely, and you must uncover the source of this new behavior. Your first task is to locate a Fallen exhibiting an uncommon glow. Search the area north of the church to find a suitable subject. Eliminate your target, and collect the odd sample it drops. Next, sweep the area for more glowing Fallen. Just circle the church and clear each of the surrounding buildings. Defeat a total of five glowing Fallen and collect the samples they drop to receive your next objective.

Ether Enhancements

Glowing (or “Empyrean”) Fallen can absorb much more damage than typical Dregs, Vandals, and Marauders. Adopt a more cautious pace until you’ve determined how long it takes you to defeat these ether-enhanced enemies.

Next, you need to search nearby buildings for the source of a mysterious signal. Follow the objective marker to the area northeast of the church, then slip under the half-lowered entrance that marks the entrance to Terminus East. Once your objective updates, follow the marker down through the underground passage to identify the signal’s source.

Respawning Restricted

During this quest, Terminus East is a designated Restricted Zone.

Terminus East contains three barriers, all of which must be deactivated before you can reach the signal’s source. Eliminate the enemies lurking near the first barrier, then retrieve a void charge from the marked device.

Follow the objective marker, and deposit the void charge into the indicated device. Doing so deactivates the first barrier, granting you access to the room’s next section. Of course, this also leaves you exposed to the waiting enemies, so be prepared to defend yourself as soon as the barrier falls.

Repeat the process to deactivate each of the remaining barriers; just follow the objective markers to collect and deposit void charges as needed. Of course, you’ll face more formidable enemies as you move deeper into the room. Be on the lookout for cloaked Marauders, and take the time to clear each section before you open the path to the next one.

After you drop all three barriers, you need to clear all remaining enemies from the room. Know that a formidable Fallen Captain named Canix-5 guards this Lost Sector. Depending on your equipped weapons and the status of your Super Ability, you may be able to defeat this enemy fairly quickly. Otherwise, consider evading Canix-5 until you’ve dealt with the weaker foes scattered throughout the room.

After you clear the room, use the marked panel to deactivate the force field protecting the enclosure, and then wait to receive your next objective.

Finally, you must destroy the marked piece of Cabal tech that appears in the corner of the room. A single shot is enough to trigger an impressive explosion, so move to the opposite side of the room before you attack the device. Destroy the Cabal tech to complete the mission, receive your reward, and gain access to the next phase of this World Quest.
