Loadout Recommendations

This Adventure involves a great deal of Fallen enemies, followed by a heavy dose of Cabal troops. Arc damage can be useful for dealing with the odd Captain, but a good Solar Weapon is a great help during the final encounter. In any case, consider equipping at least one medium- or long-range before you enter the Salt Mines.

When you begin the Adventure, your first task is to access a Fallen terminal system. Follow the objective marker to find this device in a building just past the church. Clear the area of hostiles, and then activate the terminal to receive your next objective.

You must now acquire six voice distortion modules. Step back outside and head for the nearest cluster of Fallen enemies. Eliminate at least six Fallen units, and collect the modules they drop. Deal with any remaining threats, then follow the objective marker into Salt Mines.

You’ll encounter a bit of resistance just inside Salt Mines; clear out these enemies, and follow the objective marker toward the dig site. The area is riddled with Fallen Tripmines. While you’re free to detonate some (or all) of these traps, they’re easily avoided. Slip between the lasers, veer left, and follow the cavern wall to the raised walkway.

Fighting from the raised walkway not only keeps you safely away from the Tripmines, it also ensures that you have plenty of cover options. The cavern is filled with common Fallen enemies—prioritize and eliminate available targets until you’ve secured the area. After the battle, jump down to the marked location, and perform a scan of the area. Wait for the scan to resolve, then follow the objective marker to the nearby transmat pad and teleport up to the ambush site.

Once you arrive at the ambush site, move up the hill and eliminate the Fallen enemies lurking along the path. The area contains a mix of Dregs and Vandals, led by a Captain. Once you’ve secured the area, move to the marked location, and prepare for the final phase of this Adventure.

When you’re ready, scan the indicated spot to prepare for the incoming Cabal forces. Explosives from Salt Mines appear on both sides of the ambush site, so stick near the scanning location to avoid stumbling into your own trap.

Respawning Restricted

After you scan the ambush site, it becomes a designated Restricted Zone.

Face uphill, and wait for the first of three Cabal assault forces to arrive. When the drop pods open, allow the frontline to charge into your trap as you pick off cautious Psions. If the approaching enemies manage to avoid the Tripmines, shoot an explosive barrel to set off a chain reaction. Wait a moment for the dust to settle, then move in to clear out any surviving threats.

When you’re finished, return to your perch in the center of the area, face downhill, and use the same tactics to clear out the second assault force. When the last enemy falls, the area is restocked with fresh explosives. Try to get clear of the blast zone before this happens.

The final Cabal assault force includes some significantly tougher enemies—most notably, Commander Druusk. It’s possible to wipe out the entire wave with a well-timed explosion, but don’t be caught off guard if Druusk manages to survive. Favor weapons and/or Abilities that deal Solar damage, and use the terrain to your advantage. Defeat all remaining Cabal units to complete the Adventure and receive your reward.
