Loadout Recommendations

You’re almost exclusively defeating Cabal forces during this Adventure, and the Centurions usually use Solar Shields. An Energy weapon capable of quickly removing that protection is wise. Combat is mid to close range.

Begin your Adventure at the marker in The Cistern (the central road), and quickly move past the waterfall and huge tree to the base of the tower. The usual Cabal crew (Phalanxes, Legionaries, and Psions) is at the base of this structure. Optionally battle them as you scale the exterior steps to the entrance, and head inside. Make a controlled jump down into the Well of Flame.

Enter the Vex portal, pass a yellow prism, and enter the cylindrical arena inside the Well of Flame. Don’t drop into the white Radiolarian Fluid around the perimeter of this chamber, but do start to engage a Centurion and Legionaries before investigating the three consoles. The 7th Company fighters are no pushovers, so remain in the dry perimeter areas behind cover, and start attacking the Cabal one cluster at a time. Aside from the Elite Centurion, there are Phalanxes to defeat, as well as Psions.

One way to turn the tide in your favor is to remain at the entrance opening and start sniping Psions (so they don’t do the same to you). Back away when a barrage of incoming fire heads your way, then step back and attempt headshots on the Legionaries. Remove the Phalanxes and Incendiors so only the Elite Centurion is left. Another plan is to drop down and work your way clockwise around the perimeter, thinning out the clusters of Cabal as you go. Leap atop the block architecture, and fire down from it. Keep moving, and retreat more often than you think you want to. Using grenades and your Super is encouraged.

With the Centurion and his Solar Shield destroyed, you can complete the objective and download the data from the three console terminals in this arena. Expect Cabal infantry like the ones you just defeated each time you access a terminal and successfully download the data. After the third download, access the Vex teleport, and extricate yourself out of the Well of Flame and out to The Cistern. Attack the foes from the arriving dropship, if you must. However, it’s better to use your Sparrow and jet across the Radiolarian lake and up the hill to the site Ghost is indicating.

Clear out Psions, Legionaries, and possible Phalanxes in the orange overhang where a Fallen Captain and cloaked Marauders also reside. The Fallen foes are optional kills. Head down the overhang area to the two adjacent confluxes, one lower and one upper. Expect Psions and Legionaries at each, and a Centurion at the upper conflux. It’s easier to clear out both areas before establishing a link at the lower conflux, as you need to stay close to the conflux while the link connects. This is difficult if you’re fighting the Cabal, as well.

With the links established, you need to flit between both confluxes, sweeping the area of additional incoming Cabal foes. If the threat level reaches 100 percent, this Adventure is over. Defend them both from Cabal Legionaries, Incendiors, Psions, War Beasts, and the odd Centurion. Use a Solar Energy weapon to remove the Centurions’ shields. Stand at the upper conflux, overlooking the lower one so you can deal with foes at either location quickly, and watch for more enemies, as well.

After about two to three minutes of this, your percentage reaches 100, and you can head to the beacon. This is at the Landing Zone for this Sector, so use a Sparrow to quickly get there and transmit the data, completing the Adventure.
