Javelin-4 includes some sizable interior spaces, but the facility’s exterior locations combine to form one very large, fairly open area. A sheer drop ensures that fatal falls are possible, but the limited cover is what makes these outdoor locations so dangerous. Even the most protected spots are easily flanked.
While nature is in the process of reclaiming a few bits and pieces, most of the map features the clean lines and sharp corners one might expect to find in such a facility. This allows for an abundance of useful vantage points and some very effective sniping lanes. Consider equipping at least one mid- to long-range weapon whenever you visit this stage.
Of course, the facility does contain a few smaller areas. Many locations have curves or sharp corners that severely limit line of sight; those who favor short-range weapons will find some suitably tight spots. When in doubt, select weapon combinations that allow you to adjust your tactics as the action moves from location to location.
