Hangar Assault
Super: Optional
Grenades: Optional
Enter the giant hangar, where you’re immediately on the defensive due to the large number of Cabal forces to face. Instead of rushing in and dying, remain at the huge entrance to the hangar, and drop the Psions and Phalanxes from range. Or, if you have closer-range assault weaponry, use the scenery along the right side of the main hangar road or the low cylindrical storage vat on the inner corner where the Psions first congregate as cover. Legionaries soon join these foes milling around near the storage vat.
Make the Phalanxes your first targets because their shields can allow other enemies to use them as cover. Then, drop the Psions, and finally, the Legionaries. Remain in cover as the Cabal release a pack of War Beasts that bound down the ramp. Assuming you’re hidden behind cover at the opposite end of the hangar, you can step back a little, and drop these foes at distance. If any reach you, attack them while shielding yourself from the Psions and Phalanxes on the upper ground by using cover.
There’s no rush to push forward, so stay behind cover until you’ve neutralized all nearby ground-level foes (including all War Beasts). You can then choose whether to attack the Phalanxes atop the ramp, or the Psions atop the gantry platform.
The latter is the best pick; the Psions have long-range weaponry, so neutralizing them is safer. Sidestep to the cylinder with the blue metal mechanism surrounding it (ground level), using it as cover and sniping at the Psions. Or, jump onto the gantry and assault the Psions at close range. (Warlocks may need to land on some higher scenery to complete the maneuver.)
If you’re landing on the gantry, use the metal barricade fencing on your left as cover, lobbing in a grenade to soften up the Psions and Phalanxes. Then, lay waste to both sets of foes as you advance onto the top of the ramped area. Alternately, you can skulk up the left side of the hangar (along the same side wall as the entrance), taking up cover on and around a parked tank (unfortunately inaccessible) in the corner. Then, you can remove the Phalanxes and Psions from this direction. You have more cover opportunities from this angle, though you must cross the open platform atop the ramp, leaving you more exposed.
Head up the shorter ramp to the upper platform, where a few Legionaries, Psions, another pack of War Beasts, and a Centurion all must perish. This is a good time for a grenade or a Super (preferably the latter), focusing your rage on the Centurion. Or, shoot as many foes as you can before the War Beasts reach you, then back up and tag these four-legged fiends. Push up, use the good cover opportunities, and bring the remaining Cabal forces to their knees.
After that, approach the right console so Ghost can access the schematics, and the objective updates. A large circular platform descends across a short bridge. Jump across the platform and up into a high door leading to a connecting passage.
