Even though you can skirt the majority of this Sector by passing along the northeastern perimeter thoroughfare between the Tangle and Hallows, investigate the large circular arena to discover multiple Vex patrolling, as well as two areas where a careless maneuver can cost you your life. Although there are no Lost Sectors, there is an entrance to the Chamber of Water, along with an alcove along the northern edge of the sunken arena where a host of Vex may appear. Fallen are also active in this area, and there’s even a captured Cabal prisoner to face, should one of the three Secret Public Events activate. Finally, note the Landing Zone: it’s an excellent way to reach the two larger adjacent Sectors, as well as this one.

Areas of Interest

Road to The Tangle (North)

The northern exit heading west enables you to quickly reach the northern part of the Tangle.

Entrance to Chamber of Water

This side alcove in the northern exterior has numerous Vex infantry guarding a circular teleport, which whisks you to the Chamber of Water Sector. This is the only access point to this Sector.

North Ruins

Expect a light enemy presence (or a cluster of Fallen during a Skirmish) in the vicinity of the protruding low cubed ruins around the northern perimeter of the arena.

Northwest Plateaus

The naturally occurring rock plateaus have Vex foes to concern yourself with, and an arena cave alcove beneath your feet.

Arena Alcove (North Central)

Don’t overlook the opening in the arena wall in the sunken north-central part of this Sector. There’s a Vex cluster and some interesting discoveries inside.

Watcher’s Arena

The majority of this Sector consists of this large circular arena. Southwest is the “eye,” part of the huge perimeter wall. Watch for bottomless drops to the west and southeast.

Arena Eye (Southwest)

The floor below the arena eye is bathed in orange light. Note the three pillars (one with a Region Chest), a scannable object on the left (eastern) corner of the numerous wall ledges, and a Hydra roaming the lower floor.

Mist Pillars

A frightening part of this Sector, this area below a massive Vex construction overhang features a smattering of rock pillars and a bottomless drop into mist. One of the pillars has a chest to find.

East Promontory

This offers good views of the arena below and is a reasonable sniping point. Beware of the Minotaur and Goblins patrolling here, and check around the narrow ledge to the south for a chest.

Road to Hallows (Southeast)

The curved roadway skirts around the northeastern side of this Sector, weaving southeastward to Hallows.

Enemy Clusters

Vex

Expect Goblins and Hobgoblins to be guarding the entrance to the Chamber of Water in the northeastern perimeter.

Vex

The upper ruins along the northern edge of the arena have roaming Goblins for you to contend with.

Vex

The northwestern plateaus have Harpies to tackle, as well as Goblins (plus a sniping Hobgoblin) to watch for.

Vex

The underside of the northern plateau area features a wide but short alcove cave, with Harpies, Goblins, and a Minotaur inside.

Vex

The eastern promontory features a Minotaur roaming the area, along with its Goblin brethren.

Vex

Goblins, Hobgoblins, and a fearsome Hydra are patrolling the area under the orange-lit arena eye.

Public Events

Public Events (Full)

Servitor Resupply: This takes place in the sunken arena area. There are plenty of Fallen foes to tackle, multiple waves of lesser Servitors, and the usual Vex foes to ignore so you aren’t overwhelmed.

Spire Integration: Vex are attempting to fortify their nearby structures. Simply hold off waves of Vex at the indicated spot. They are approaching from different directions (which appear around the indicated guide map area); to complete this event, defeat them all without letting the integrations total reach zero.

Public Events (Secret)

HVT #1: A Vex Storm Minotaur appears at one of the indicated guide map locations (1A, 1B, 1C, or 1D). Defeat it immediately!

HVT #2: A Fallen Captain appears at one of the indicated guide map locations (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D or 2E). Remove it at once!

Jailbreak (three locations): A captured enemy (a Cabal Centurion, Fallen Captain, or Fallen Servitor, depending on the location) is being held in an energy cell. Tackle the Vex Goblins and Minotaur guards. Then, the cell disappears, leaving you to deal with the prisoner foe!

Skirmish: This is a fight against consecutive waves of Fallen infantry throughout the indicated area, close to the main thoroughfare.

Landing Zone

Watcher’s Grave LZ

An LZ is accessible in this Sector; you land over on the eastern perimeter of the map, close to the road and equidistant to both exits. Head here for quick access to the Tangle or Hallows.

Patrols

Watcher’s Grave (7)

A total of seven Patrol beacons eventually become available here. Note that one of the beacons is below ground, in the alcove cave.

Region Chests

Region Chest 1

Below the arena eye, atop one of the stone-like Vex pillars.

Region Chest 2

On a narrow corner of the ledge, around and south from the eastern promontory.

Region Chest 3

On the rear mist pillar, requiring deft jumping across the bottomless chasm.

Scannable Objects

This Goblin is half the robot it used to be. Now it’s branching out.
There’s something interesting to scan below the surface.
A rusting globe of machinery on a high corner ledge, bathed in orange.

Vendor

Xur

Have you spotted the Agent of the Nine? He occasionally appears on the branch of the large tree on the north side of the main thoroughfare, if you’re lucky! Xur offers special items to those who can find him. He can appear other places as well.
