This is a relatively easy Sector to understand geographically, as it features a large, partly flooded floor that takes up most of the accessible room. The Cabal has a heavy presence here because this Sector is adjacent to Firebase Hades and provides access via the Tunnels section to their sprawling inner spaceport (Sunken Isles). To the south are some dotted boulders, a small upper plateau with foes, and the remains of an overpass. This Sector is possibly the most accessible, with access to Firebase Hades, the Tunnels, the Sludge, and Winding Cove (via the Lost Sector to the south).
Areas of Interest
Road to The Sludge (Northeast)
A winding forest road in various broken pieces allows access to and from the Sludge. Enter from here to get an excellent view of most of the Sector.
The Tunnels Entrance (North)
There’s usually some Cabal combat to overcome in this area, close to the burned-out remains of a Fallen Walker. This is the entrance to the Tunnels, a Cabal-controlled interior that allows access to their main spaceport on EDZ (Sunken Isles).
The Gulch Floor
A wide expanse of shallow water that gives you little cover but makes long-range enemy takedowns a breeze. Various Public Events, both small and large in scale, occur here.
Ruined Overpass (South)
Use this or the lower river when maneuvering to Firebase Hades. You can also stop by the rusting truck at the overpass bridge to reconnoiter the narrow trail leading to two hidden caves and the Lost Sector down below. Note the Cabal-heavy plateau just northwest of here, as well as a frequently overlooked trail behind some boulders on the east side of the overpass.
Road to Firebase Hades (Southwest)
The main road to Firebase Hades offers alternate trails via the river. Note the rusting truck on the bridge; if you’re heading in from Firebase Hades, use it as a ramp. There’s a trail on the western side of the plateau you can use to sneak up and onto the plateau and surprise the Cabal forces up there, too.
Adventures
Reversing the Polarity
On a grassy bank at the northern end of the ruined roadway.
By some boulders near a trail and the overpass bridge.
Patrols
The Gulch (7)
Expect up to four active patrol beacons from the seven available. Note that some may be above or below the broken overpass section.
Public Events

Injection Rig: This lands at the point shown on the map, in the large shallow waterlogged area north of the Tunnels entrance. Expect a hard fight with a sub-boss Psion to defeat multiple times, Gladiators toward the end of the battle, and a Centurion (in addition to normal Cabal forces) during the last wave.
Glimmer Extraction: This involves destroying three Fallen extraction sites (2A, 2B, and 2C) dotted around the map.

Lost Sectors
Flooded Chasm
You can approach this Lost Sector either via the waterlogged cave entrance south of the overpass, or from the Winding Cove Sector directly south of here, which this Lost Sector links to. Inside is a large cavern where Cabal and Fallen troops are battling. Expect to face a larger contingent of Fallen as you progress farther into the cavern. The Cabal presence is minimal and exploratory (mainly Psions and Legionaries), but the Fallen have Dregs, Vandals, Shanks, and a Captain to tackle.

Enemy Clusters
A small Cabal presence is located in the northern part of the waterlogged floor of the Gulch. They are guarding multiple collectibles, so check the perimeter behind them.
This is a large contingent of foes, including occasional Incendiors, guarding the Tunnels entrance.
Up on a grassy plateau overlooking the river and overpass is the strongest selection of Cabal forces, led by a Centurion.
A small cluster of foes in the shallow riverbed surrounded by low cliffs and boulders. Expect Legionaries and Psions here.
A few Cabal congregate under the overpass, close to the Lost Sector entrance.
A raiding party of Legionaries is checking the curved trail in the upper southeastern part of this Sector. Note the two nearby cave entrances.
Region Chests
Region Chest 1
Above Cabal Enemy Cluster #1 and the ground-level cave is a second cave almost directly above; this hidey-hole has a chest inside.
Region Chest 2
When moving along the curved trail by Enemy Cluster #6 in the southeast edge of this Sector, check an easily overlooked small cave.
Region Chest 3
Above the entrance to the Lost Sector, accessed from the curved trail near Enemy Cluster #6, is a scree slope with fallen logs and other detritus. Find a cave here with the chest inside.
