Spend enough time in the field and you’ll amass quite a collection of weapons. Choosing the right combination of Kinetic, Energy, and Power weapons can be a bit of a challenge. Luckily, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to test out new finds.
Every weapon you encounter features an Intrinsic Perk. Specifics can vary quite a bit, but most intrinsic Perks fall into one of six categories:
Adaptive Frame: This Perk usually indicates a weapon with balanced stats.
Aggressive Frame: This usually indicates that a weapon features High Caliber Rounds as a native Perk.
High-Impact Frame: Weapons with this Perk typically favor Range over other stats, and they almost always offer improved accuracy and recoil when the user is standing still.
Lightweight Frame: This Perk often indicates better handling or a boost to movement speed.
Precision Frame: This Perk usually indicates a stable weapon with relatively linear recoil pattern.
Rapid-Fire Frame: This Perk usually indicates a weapon with a high rate of fire that reloads much faster whenever the magazine is empty.
As you experiment with new weapons, you’re likely to find that many of your favorite weapons share a similar Intrinsic Perk.
The following tables list the bulk of the weapons currently in the game, along with what tend to be the most likely methods of acquiring them. While some weapons are simply random drops, many are given out as rewards for missions or activities—and some of the best weapons can be gained by earning Reputation with various vendors.
As you review your options, note that weapons are listed in order of Rarity—and within those categories, they’re arranged in the order you’re most likely to encounter them.
Remember, you can only equip one weapon of each type (Kinetic, Energy, and Power), and you can never have more than one Exotic weapon equipped, but you can always carry a few useful options with you. If a new weapon combination isn’t working for you, duck into cover and adjust your loadout. The more options you have, the better off you’ll be.
