It seems the location of Cayde-6 must be pinpointed once you’ve found and deactivated the Vex teleporter. This involves a short but extremely dangerous romp into a Vex-constructed interior off the main Cistern on Nessus. The action against waves of Vex doesn’t end in the main arena inside the Pools of Luminance, either. You must travel across open ground to the Glade of Echoes, where you witness a protracted battle between Fallen and Vex forces. You’re here to defeat the Vex Boss, who prevents progress. Assuming you succeed, additional travel to the wreck site of the Exodus Black is required. Following that, a complete removal of Fallen presence in the area, including the defeat of a toughened Captain, is mandatory. Only then will Failsafe remove the barrier between you and Cayde.
