Loadout Recommendations

During this Adventure, you’re defeating Minotaurs and a ferocious Cyclops, as well as Vex infantry. Rapid-fire, pinpoint-accurate, and ranged weaponry is preferred.

Begin in Hallows, moving to the small upper ledge underground near the cluster of Goblins and a Minotaur, and place your first beacon. Turn and head along the perimeter of this Sector to a second upper ledge entangled in the branches of a tree by one of the exits. Scan this second area.

Then, jump across to the block pillar overlooking the arena with the Hydra in it, and scan that. Combat with the Vex usually encountered in this Sector is optional.

Leave the area by Sparrow, driving to Watcher’s Grave to interact with the Myriad access point. Clear a cluster of Goblins and Minotaur on your left as you enter, then head into a shallow cave entrance under the main circular arena of this Sector, battling more Goblins and Minotaurs among the rocks. Activate the access point, and a white column stretches out from it.

Head back to where you fought the first Vex cluster in this Sector; a Vex cannon and platform have appeared. Jump onto the platform, and launch through the circular cannon across to a floating platform. Hook up Failsafe at the cube with the turquoise mainframe globe inside it.

Time for some hilariously precise jumping? No, the five tiny floating cubes with conflux matter around them are just here to confuse you. Shoot all five of them instead of trying to leap and land on them. A second conduit appears on the arena floor below you. Reach it, and stabilize the area.

More cubes appear in the air around the main circular arena, along with the remaining confluxes. Simply stand near each conflux and shoot all of the cubes, as well as any Vex Harpies and Goblins making an appearance.

With the area stable, the Gatekeeper appears. This Elite Minotaur has exceptional energy reserves and moves all around this Sector. Harpies and Goblins join him each time you remove a third of his energy, after which he teleports to a different area. Take a long, methodical approach to whittling

down his health. During the last part of the battle, the Gatekeeper grows in size to that of a Gate Lord. This is the time to finish him with a Super, grenades, rockets and grenade launchers, or long-range sniping.

Rescue Failsafe by entering the Chamber of Water via the circular Vex portal where the Gatekeeper made his last stand. Wind your way through the entrance tunnel, and begin stabilizing the chamber the same way you did earlier. Reach each of the confluxes and wait near them while shooting incoming Goblins, Harpies, and appearing cubes. Failsafe is being guarded by a Mainframe Cyclops. This rarely encountered Vex entity is like a stationary Hydra, but with an even more vicious energy blast. Fortunately, once you reduce one-third of its health (by shooting the main “eye”), it summons a number of cubes to hide behind. Shoot them, and they explode, killing the Cyclops. Release Failsafe from the pedestal the Cyclops was connected to, and teleport out of here as the Adventure concludes.
