European Dead Zone
Welcome to the Farm! It’s worth spending a while exploring this base of operations in the EDZ, as you’ll return here time after time as you improve the level of your Guardian and complete more Campaign Missions. Before continuing your Campaign, it is recommended that you complete any or all of the following:
Darbi 55-30 (Postmaster): When shipments of goods arrive, they are sorted at this open-air post office. Darbi 55-30 will be happy to provide you with items you acquire during missions that are rare or important enough to be saved, if you didn’t pick them up. (This can occur if your inventory is full, you ignore or do not see the item, or the item falls into an area you can’t reach.) Darbi 55-30 currently has nothing for you.
Tyra Karn (Archivist): This wise woman offers the decoding of engrams that you may have found during your explorations. She mentions the dangers in the vicinity when you talk to her. Return here once you need an engram deciphered, after which it is turned into an item and placed in your Character Menu (or Postmaster if your menu is full of that item type).
Hawthorne (Overseer): The Farm Overseer and her bird friend explain the finer points of clans, sell gear that is more protective than your current rags, and offer other services.
Vault: Note that the sunken fountain area between the Postmaster and Archivist has two vault stations where you can store items that you want to save or share with your other two characters, or that can’t face dismantling. It’s worth checking this out to learn how the vault works.
Remember, you can save your favorite weapons from a veteran character (and armor if your subsequent character is of the same class) and let a new character use them, which really helps during subsequent replays!
Other Activities: Make sure you take time to thoroughly explore the Farm. There’s more than just a soccer pitch to slide around in. Have you jogged atop the water wheel, for example?
Character Menu: Inspect your Character Menu to check the statistics of the three weapons you have accrued (including the new Power weapon). Note that the armor you are wearing is among the worst imaginable. It’s up to you to complete missions (and other tasks) to increase your Glimmer total and gain Reputation with certain Vendors (like Hawthorne) so you can afford better gear.
Also, take the time to learn how your Armor, Agility, and Recovery are affected depending on what you wear. Finally, note that your Super ability is currently compromised; beginning the next Campaign Mission is a priority.
