Destiny 2 Guide › Director › European Dead Zone

The Farm

Sector Notes:

Landing Zone: Available

Scannable Objects: 4

Vendor: (Up to) 9

Welcome to the EDZ Resistance! This social sector has no enemies to worry about. It is a hub where you can meet up with friends, make purchases from an increasing number of merchants (until the conclusion of the Campaign) number of merchants, store items in your vault, find scannable objects, and welcome new vendors as you progress through the Campaign. Hone your character’s prowess by changing armor and weapon loadouts, decrypting engrams for the items within, purchasing Eververse items, and gaining reputation with certain Vanguard members.

Down on The Farm

Once the Campaign concludes, the majority of the vendors move to the Tower, and you are encouraged to join them as the Farm’s usefulness winds down.

Note that the perspective during the time here changes; you are in a third-person view and cannot execute your Movement Mode.

That Glowing Feeling

In addition to locating scannable objects, there’s a good deal of larking around you can accomplish. Top of the list is earning the Scout Commander Aura! This glowing embodiment of awesomeness makes you stand out from the crowd. It requires you to complete four different activities:

Sentry Ranks (4): Scale heights and thoroughly explore around the Farm.

Vertigo: Wobbly tightrope walking is necessary.

A Wheel Boost: A swift jog on a rickety wheel.

On Scout Patrol: Visit a number of light columns before they blink out of existence.

Areas of Interest

Low Hill (Starting Point)

This is where you appear after dropping in rom Orbit.

Fountain Courtyard and Vaults

Access your vault in this serene fountain area.

Farmhouse

Visit some tinkerers inside the house, and scale the roof for a better view and some precarious wire walking.

Water Mill

An old rickety water mill where Tyra resides. Did you find the small watery tunnel under the building yet?

Soccer Pitch

Play a little football between the two nets in the northwestern field.

The Barn

The resistance members are busy building machines, and the majority of the later-visiting vendors and mentors appear here.

Harbor and Fire Pit

You might want to inspect the fire pit. There’s some nearby lighting to flick on and off, too.

Landing Zone

The Farm LZ

Land your craft on the eastern side of this sector, which is the only way in or out of the Farm (since this doesn’t have a direct pathway link to the rest of the EDZ).

Scannable Objects

What’s this box of tricks on the rickety roof? My, that’s a big gun.
“Look out” for this collection of goods on a rocky outcrop, overlooking water.
A southwest perimeter check is needed for this cluster of goods.
Do you enjoy sacks on the rocks? Check the southern perimeter.

Vendors

Darbi 55-30 (Postmaster)

Visit Darbi to gather items and objects of importance that you found (from dead enemies or chests) during missions or other explorations, but didn’t pick up. Messages from other players are also accessed here.

Darbi 55-30 is available from the first time you visit the Farm.

Tess Everis (Eververse)

Tess Everis is a shopkeeper representing the Eververse Trading Company who grants you special free promotions (engram gifts and gear, for example). She also sells these items, provided you have enough Silver (which is currency you appropriate through the expenditure of real-world rather than in-game funds). Real-world purchases are purely optional.

Tyra Karn (Archivist)

Tyra Karn is a crypto-archeologist (or “cryptarch”) who can decode any engrams you may have gathered on your travels. She also sells engrams from time to time and may be interested in artifacts you have collected, exchanging them for Glimmer.

Tyra is available from the first time you visit the Farm. She remains here once others leave at the end of the Campaign, so revisit her after the Campaign conclusion for some impressive loot!

Hawthorne (Farm Overseer)

Hawthorne is the leader of the resistance in the EDZ, and she sells both Leveling Gear. As you are already in good standing with her, you do not need to prove your loyalty (EDZ Tokens are given to Devrim in the Town Sector in Trostland). She also informs you about clans.

Present in the Farm from the beginning but leaves for the Tower once the Campaign is finished.

Lord Shaxx (Crucible Overseer)

Lord Shaxx is an imposing, horned-helmeted combat veteran, as well as the Crucible Overseer. You can access Crucible events from here. He takes any Tokens you have acquired from the Crucible; trade them in, bringing him groups of 10, five, or one. In return, you receive an increased Reputation (or “standing”) with him. Special Crucible Armor and Crucible Arsenal (Gear Sets) are accessed from him.

Arrives after the completion of Mission Spark and leaves for the Tower once the Campaign is finished.

Arcite 99-40 (Crucible Gunsmith)

Arcite 99-40 is a gunsmith for the Crucible. He takes any Tokens you have acquired from breaking down weapons or armor; trade them in, bringing him groups of 10, five, or one. In return, you receive an increased Reputation (or “standing”) with him. He awards you items from the Gunsmith Arsenal. Additionally, he has gear for sale.

Cayde-6 (Hunter Vanguard)

Cayde-6 is the Hunter Vanguard. He grabs any Tokens you have acquired. Trade with him, depositing groups of 10, five, or one Tokens, and in return, you receive increased Reputation (or “standing”) with him. Scouting reports for EDZ, Titan, Nessus, and Io are available (which highlight nearby loot caches for you and your fireteam). He also sometimes sells gear.

Arrives after the completion of Mission Fury and leaves for the Tower once the Campaign is finished.

Ikora Rey (Warlock Vanguard)

Ikora Rey is the Warlock Vanguard. She gladly accepts any Tokens you have acquired. Trade with her, depositing groups of 10, five, or one Tokens, and in return, you receive increased Reputation (or “standing”) with her. Special Gear Sets are accessed from her. She also sometimes sells gear.

Arrives after the completion of Mission Fury and leaves for the Tower once the Campaign is finished.

Commander Zavala (Titan Vanguard)

Commander Zavala is the Titan Vanguard. He gathers any Tokens you have acquired. Trade them in, bringing him groups of 10, five, or one. In return, you receive an increased Reputation (or “standing”) with him. Special Vanguard Armor and Vanguard Arsenal (Gear Sets) are accessed from him. In addition, he sometimes has gear for sale.

Arrives after the completion of Mission Fury and leaves for the Tower once the Campaign is finished.
