Vostok is a large map with some excellent sniping lanes, making it one of the Crucible’s best stages for long-range firefights. A scout rifle is strongly recommended, and those who favor sniper rifles would be hard-pressed to find a better setting.
Most locations offer adequate cover in the form of rock formations and/or manmade structures—but thanks to some outstanding vantage points, few locations can be considered safe from sniper fire.
Vostok also includes some multi-level structures. Remember to utilize all of the information your motion tracker provides. Whether you’re pre-aiming or using a grenade to flush an opponent out of cover, misreading your target’s elevation can be a costly mistake.
Considering its location on Felwinter Peak, it should come as no surprise that Vostok contains a large number of sheer drops. It’s also worth noting that some of these drops are located along important flanking routes. Airborne Guardians generally make for vulnerable targets, so before you leap across a gap, consider the likelihood of incoming fire.
