Hallows

Sector Notes:

Adventure: Key to the Network

Enemy Clusters: Vex: 3

Enemy Chests: Available

Material Nodes: Available

Patrol Beacons: 7

Public Event (Full): 1

Public Event (Secret): 3

Region Chests: 3

Scannable Objects: 3

Hallows is an interesting Sector because it has a lot of verticality to it. The usual method of entering is via the surface “hole” from the Artifact’s Edge Sector (during Campaign Mission: Looped). Before you descend into the underground (and main) portion of the Sector, note the large Vex courtyard that’s overgrown with plants. It features additional materials, a Region Chest, and a scannable object. The subterranean cavern has a main winding thoroughfare running north (from Watcher’s Grave) to south (to Glade of Echoes). Aside from the main cluster of Vex in the portal area, there’s a side passage to the east, leading down into the underworld of this planetoid (Sunken Cavern). Learn the geography of this place quickly, and it becomes a lot less confusing to navigate around.

Look Up. Look Down. Look Out!

The following map pinpoints Areas of Interest, enemy clusters, and collectibles that may be “over” the visible part of the map. To ensure that you find the icon in question, check both below and above the indicated location.

Areas of Interest

Exit to Watcher’s Grave (North)

Look for the tangle of tree branches overhanging the tunnel exit to the Watcher’s Grave, which is just north of the main Vex portal area.

Vex Summoning Portal

Expect the largest concentration of Vex foes (including a Hydra) here. This is where the only Public Event (aside from the Secret ones) occurs. Check the perimeter area for a chest and scannable object.

Exit to Sunken Cavern (East)

Head up the rocky tunnel. Should you wish to explore this moon’s interior core, you can proceed through the narrowing entrance of Vex construction that leads into the great void of the Sunken Cavern.

Exit to Artifact’s Edge (Upper Southeast)

Note the two pictures. The first is the exterior courtyard area, complete with a number of material nodes, as well as a chest and scannable object. Drop down here from Artifact’s Edge. Or, climb up the curved ledge perimeter from down below. The second picture shows the base of the hole: a mound with natural light and easy access to the north and south interior areas.

Rocky Alcove and Thoroughfare

Just past the Adventure marker is a southwestern alcove, behind the curved foundations of the hole up to the surface. Expect foes and a Skirmish to occur here. This is adjacent to the main thoroughfare; simply follow the winding path northward to investigate the majority of this Sector.

Exit to Glade of Echoes (South)

Head south to Glade of Echoes by accessing this exit, which has several gigantic blocks of Vex origin. Use these as recognizable landmarks so you’re heading out of the correct exit.

Patrols

Hallows (7)

There are up to seven Patrol beacons, with three or four active at a time.

Region Chests

Region Chest 1

Hidden in the tangle of branches of the old tree, at the northern exit (underground).

Region Chest 2

On a ceiling alcove just northeast of the circular hole to the surface (underground).

Region Chest 3

On an exterior ledge on the southern perimeter of the entrance to the circular hole (surface).

Enemy Clusters

Vex

The main Vex presence around the circular summoning portal includes Goblins, Hobgoblins, Minotaurs, and a Hydra. This is the largest concentration of foes in the vicinity. Expect Goblins to encroach on areas to the south of here. Occasionally, you also encounter Harpies.

Vex

The exit tunnel to the east has Goblins and Hobgoblins to worry about.

Vex

The alcove cluster features Goblins, Hobgoblins, and a Minotaur.

Public Events

Public Events (Full)

Spire Integration: Vex are attempting to fortify their nearby structures. Simply hold off waves of Vex at the indicated spot. They are approaching from different directions (which appear around the indicated guide map area); to complete this event, defeat them all without letting the integrations total reach zero.

Public Events (Secret)

HVT #1: A Vex Storm Minotaur appears at one of the indicated guide map locations (1A, 1B, 1C, or 1D). Defeat it immediately!

HVT #2: A Vex Storm Minotaur is hiding on the southern side of the circular drop. Attack it!

Skirmish: This is a fight against consecutive waves of Fallen and Vex infantry throughout the indicated area, close to the main thoroughfare.

Scannable Objects

You get a good view of the summoning portal from here.
Something is glowing red up on the ceiling, near that chest.
This Goblin is half the Vex it used to be. Check outside?

Adventures

Key to the Network

The marker is located by a rock near the southern exit of this Sector, below ground.
