As a whole, the Dead Cliffs is a fairly small map, and its layout and landscape generally support short- to mid-range combat. Guardians who favor long-range weapons will find a few serviceable sniping lanes, but it’s recommended that you equip at least one mid-range weapon during any visit to this map.
As the name suggests, the Dead Cliffs features a good number of sheer drops. Whether you’re traversing gaps or engaging in cliffside firefights, be mindful of the map’s boundaries. Even an experienced Guardian can suffer a fatal fall in the heat of battle.
The inaccessible structure at the center of the map houses a large piece of exposed machinery. The gaps in the grate aren’t large enough for a Guardian to pass through, but you can lob grenades between the bars. While it’s unlikely that a blind toss will hit an enemy, it can be a useful distraction tactic when your team is making a coordinated push across the map.
