Altar of Flame is a fairly compact map, and the nature of Vex architecture can give even its largest areas a somewhat claustrophobic feel. Short- and mid-range weapons can be very effective, but long-range weapons still have their uses on this map.
Altar of Flame is largely an outdoor space, but it does have its share of overhangs and low ceilings. You’ll also notice that this stage features a variety of lighting conditions. As you move from place to place, consider how your surroundings affect your mobility and target acquisition.
More than half of the map’s border allows for fatal falls, but a few of the irregular ledges that mark these areas make for effective vantage points. Don’t shy away from using them—just be mindful of your footing.
