Description
- Tap into the Vex network to communicate with the Mind.
Over in Artifact’s Edge, launch this Adventure, and three large platforms appear in the central bottomless chasm of this Sector. Jump on any of them
and scan each of them in any order you like; just jump out of the temporary electrical discharge that arcs across the platform after each scan. After the third scan, jump onto firmer ground, or you’ll plummet to your death when the three platforms disappear.
Three more platforms have appeared close to the energy elevator and LZ. Head up there, leap across the first three smaller platforms and onto the first larger platform, and scan it. Watch for electrification; jump and land when it dissipates. Cull the Vex (Goblins and Fanatics, along with a Hobgoblin on additional floating platforms) that appear on a nearby platform.
Gather the data that they drop (this drops from their bodies as you kill each one, so head over when the coast is clear). Continue to work your way up the floating platforms as the data amount increases to 100 percent. As you keep ascending to a fourth Vex-filled platform, you must worry about Harpies, Hobgoblins, and Fanatics, as well as Goblins. Each time you slay a group of Vex, move to the indicated scan platform and establish a connection. Then, find the next Vex platform to attack.
This continues until the Elite Hydra, the Zenke Mind, makes an appearance. Train your weapons at the Mind, and each time you remove a third of its health, expect one of the platforms that you’ve ascended from to fill up with foes again. Break off from slaying the Mind to deal with them. It’s not particularly cunning to enter into close combat with the Mind because the platform it is on is precarious and has no cover opportunities, and the Mind’s attack is vicious. Instead, launching rockets, grenades, or your Super from an adjacent platform is a better idea. Once you’ve destroyed the Mind, the Adventure concludes. Mop up any Vex on the platforms, and head back down to firmer soil.
