Listen to the Message on the Console
Elaaden: Scavenger Flophouse (“Misery”)
While in the scavenger flophouse compound for “Search for the Stolen Remnant Drive Core” or “The Flophouse,” or even “Crisis Response,” climb the guard tower (1) and listen to the audio on the console. The scavenger on the audio mentions Annea (the merchant at the Paradise), her water source at the office, and the amount of security she has. It sounds like someone is planning an attack on her water source. Agree to help, and a navpoint pops up on the map at the Paradise (2).
Go to the Paradise
Use the forward station at the Paradise (2) to get there quickly from wherever you are on Elaaden. Once you approach the walkway, this objective is met.
Find Annea’s Office
Jump up or use the exterior stairs to get to the second level on top of the Paradise. The locked door (3) leads to Annea’s office.
Scan for a Network Console
SAM suggests you scan the area to see if you can discover a way in. You can see a yellow conduit on the floor inside. Jump down to the ground and follow the conduit away from the building.
Hack the Network Console to Access Annea’s Office
The conduit leads to a small computer console (4) on the far side of the metal walkway where the crazy scavenger stands. The console faces the pit. Hack the console to unlock Annea’s office door.
Enter Annea’s Office
Return to the second level of the Paradise (3) and enter her office. Look beyond all the illegal mushrooms she’s growing in here to find the datapad on a table to the left. It’s evidence that her water supply is coming from an underground lake. Scan her angaran computer before you leave the office—Research Data.
Search for Clues About the Location of the Water Source
Sea of Ataraxia
Find a small cave (6) entrance at a small oasis (where you can also find fluorite for “Hitting Rocks for Science”) in the Sea of Ataraxia.
Go to the Water Source
Enter the door (which is unlocked now that this mission is active) and follow the dark cave as far back as you can go to find a dock on a small underground pond.
Scan for Information
Stand on the end of the dock and scan the water supply pond (Remnant device) out in the water.
Annea and a small band of scavengers sneak up behind you at the dock. The situation remains civil and a conversation begins. You have choices to make here.
If you choose to let Annea keep the water under her control, your next step is to check in with her at the Paradise. If you choose not to let her keep control of the water, you must defeat her Raiders there in the cave after the conversation ends. Annea escapes. If this happens, check in with Nexus officials at the Paradise. In the latter scenario, Annea will no longer be the merchant at the Paradise.
Check in with Annea or the Nexus Back at the Paradise
If Annea retains control of the water, she continues as the merchant at the Paradise (3). If you stopped her water-hoarding operation, Callingwood from the Nexus accompanies a Nexus merchant at the Paradise. He informs you that the water is now being distributed fairly.
