Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition Guide › Secondary Ops

A People Divided

Mission Type: Heleus Assignment: Kadara

Prerequisite: Complete “Murder in Kadara Port”

Start Location: Kadara Slums Bar

Unlocking: Speak to Reyes to end “Murder in Kadara Port.”

Speak to Reyes

Kadara Slums Bar

A string of violent murders plagues Kadara Port. Reyes Vidal (1) believes the Roekaar are the culprits. At the end of “Murder in Kadara Port,” he recruited you to investigate the murders and prove his theory correct.

Go to the Crime Scene

Kadara: Sulfur Springs

While in Sulfur Springs, enter this building (2) on a plateau east of the west Remnant monolith and overlooking the future site of the Initiative outpost. This area also pings with the location of the transponder Vehn Terev claimed he buried (a “Hunting the Archon” Priority Ops mission). When you push open the front doors, you contact Reyes via comms and let him know you’re at the crime scene. He tells you the victim is a krogan male by the name of Zear.

Scan All Clues at the Crime Scene

Bring up your scanner and start going over the room with a fine-tooth comb. You find blood splatter on the floor just as you enter, and you see bloody footprints leading away from a dead krogan in the next room. Scan the krogan to discover angaran blood and stands to match Reyes’ Roekaar theory. You tell Reyes you count at least three attackers, and it looks like an ambush.

There are also scannable footlockers in the back of the room. Nothing disturbed—personal effects were not the target of the crime. There’s a scannable frying pan on the floor near the lockers.

Scan the footprints on the front porch. Evidence indicates three angara and one krogan. Most importantly (and while on the porch), scan the knife on the crate. The carving in the blade is Shelesh, the angaran trade language. It reads, “A home filled with strangers becomes a prison.” The inscription, DNA evidence, and footprints all support Reyes’ Roekaar theory.

Meet Reyes at the Roekaar Hideout

Reyes’ own investigation resulted in the murderers’ location, and he wants to meet you. When you reach his navpoint (3), you discover a very small outpost next to the mountainside, not far from the Draullir Forward Station. Enter the outpost.

Reyes is nowhere to be seen inside. In seconds Roekaar recruits burst into the room with weapons drawn and demanding you to be quiet, as “Farah” will deal with you. The Roekaar lead you into Draullir (4) at gunpoint to a meeting with Farah Noskos, an angaran woman holding the knife used in the murders. She admits that the victims were invaders and sympathizers. Just then, Reyes makes a grand entrance with explosives, and the battle with the Roekaar begins.

Defeat the Roekaar

Draullir

Defeat Farah Noskos (5) and her five Roekaar troops. You face a Saboteur, Raiders, and Sharpshooters. Take them all out with your team’s and Reyes’ help. There’s plenty of cover opportunities and not a crazy number of enemies here, so the battle is quick.

Leave the Roekaar Hideout

Explore the caves for items and then head back up the stairs (4) you were led down earlier. On the way up the stairs, Reyes stops to talk. He thanks you for your assistance and says he will spread the news of your good deeds. You can romance him in this conversation or keep it professional. This completes the mission, and you earn a medium amount of AVP and Kadara Viability +5%.
