Activate the Terminal
Eos: Site 1: Promise
At Site 1 (1), after returning power to the outpost during the Priority Ops mission “A Better Beginning,” enter the research center (2), which is the building closest to the parked Tempest. Activate the back-right corner terminal to power the research center.
Collect Area Resources and Craft a Weapon
If you’ve been scanning the many objects around Site 1, you should have enough Research Data to research a weapon. If not, get back out there, roam around with your scanner, and capture all the highlight-able objects the scanner finds. For example, Initiative power pylons, hydro-evaluation station, habitat door, and two operational energy storages. There’s plenty of Research Data available to let you research a weapon without leaving Promise.
Craft a Weapon
Next to the power terminal (2) is a research center device hanging from the ceiling. Use the Research interface to unlock weapon, armor, and augmentation blueprints from Milky Way, alien, and Remnant technology; and then use the Development interface to craft that item or upgrade using minerals you’ve collected. You need Research Data from scans to create blueprints, and minerals for crafting. To complete this task, simply create any weapon.
Scroll through the many different weapon blueprints and check that you have the required number of minerals to craft the weapon you’ve selected. Use the Select Blueprint command and confirm your choice to start development. Rename the weapon if you’d like it to stand out more in your inventory. Make sure you have room for it to be added. This mission is complete when you back out of the menu and the weapon is added to your inventory. Completing this task earns you a new weapon and a fair amount of XP.
