Clear Out the Scavenger Flophouse
An injured krogan scout at the krogan colony New Tuchanka gives you a navpoint to the flophouse if you haven’t stumbled upon it otherwise. See “The Flophouse” for details.
Resolve the Tension at the Krogan Colony
You complete this objective by finishing the mission “Search for the Stolen Remnant Drive Core.” You reach an agreement with the krogan colony, which determines whether you can create an outpost on Elaaden.
Reach 40% Viability on Elaaden
This can be done by performing side quests (that’s all there is on Elaaden). Big payoffs include “Water Supply,” “Search for the Stolen Remnant Drive Core,” and “The Flophouse.”
Create an Outpost
You don’t need to activate the Elaaden vault to obtain the amount of Viability needed to create an outpost. Once you reach 45% Viability, call down the outpost with the outpost beacon (1) near New Tuchanka. Be aware, if you keep the drive core for the Initiative instead of giving it back to Morda in “Search for the Stolen Remnant Drive Core,” you can’t put an outpost on Elaaden.
Addison Conversation
After you settle Elaaden, holographic Addison talks to you inside the new outpost. During the conversation, she sincerely congratulates you but, in the same breath, says Tann will hate the new settlement (krogan territory and all). You can use a sentence enhancer to share your true feelings regarding what Tann thinks in the next conversation option. She then asks for a quote for the press. Choose “Strap in, it’s a wild world” or “The groundwork is done.”
Architect on Elaaden
Settling Elaaden allows you to battle an Architect there. Talk to Kariste Archana (2) in the new outpost. See the “Architect on Elaaden” side quest entry and our Architect fighting tips in the Enemies section.
