Nexus Operations
Initially, all the scientists are together in operations on the rear deck (1). When the Common opens, you can find the scientists in the tech lab (2). Speak to the scientists to open a collection task from each.
Speak to Dr. Adriana once to unlock “Missing Scientists,” then again to unlock this challenge, “The Model of the Spheres.” She says there are plans for a school underway, to inspire a new generation of young minds. For that, she wants to craft a model of the Heleus Cluster from the data you scan. She’ll share her educational budget with you as payment.
Access the Terminal
After speaking to each scientist, you must access the terminal (1) on the same operations deck where you first find the scientists. Here you confirm the quest from each. In this case, accept the challenge to scan planets by selecting “Cluster Model: Dr. Leynomi Aridana.” This challenge involves the scanning of 50 planets across Heleus.
Scan Planets Across Heleus
The best plan of action for this mission is to scan each planet in each solar system as you first visit that system. It only takes a few minutes, and you earn lots of XP and find some goodies to boot. This mission spans a good portion of the game but doesn’t take as long as you might think. There are at least five spheres in each system. You can easily hit the 50-scan goal after visiting fewer than a dozen solar systems. You’ll also be surprised how quickly you can level up by performing planet scans. Plus you can find some great items.

Nexus: Tech Lab
Once you’ve scanned 50 planets, return to the Nexus Common and see Dr. Aridana in the tech lab (2). She awards you with a lot of XP for a job well done.
