Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition eGuide Secondary Ops

Task: Safe Journeys

Mission Type: Heleus Assignment: Aya

Prerequisite: Andromeda Initiative Embassy opened on Aya

Start Location: Aya: Docks

Unlocking: Speak to Maariko

Speak to Maariko in the Dock Captain’s Office

Aya: Docks

Any time after the Andromeda Initiative Embassy (1) (with Ambassador Rialla) has opened on Aya, stop in at the captain’s office at the docks and speak to Maariko (2), who’s working at a wall of computers in the back of the room. Maariko Darej is a chief voneraan (an astronomer) and wants your help finding lost satellites used to monitor the Scourge. Agree to help him with his search. If you’re finished on Aya for now, head to the Tempest to start searching.

Investigate the First Missing Satellite Navpoint

Tempest

Onaon

Remain in the Onaon system and perform a scan. Ignore the asteroid anomaly and scan the anomaly in the lower-right section beyond the outermost orbital ring. Zero in on the anomaly until you receive a green reticle. Shoot a probe at the targeted area in the Scourge.

Interact with the newly discovered angaran satellite. Use the scanner again when you move in close to the Scourge. You find nothing. Interact with the Scourge prompt to confirm your findings. Suvi comments that destruction would have left debris, which you’re not detecting. She suggests searching another navpoint.

Investigate the Second Missing Satellite Navpoint

Sabeng

Search the adjacent Sabeng system. Scan for anomalies to get a hit on an angaran satellite navpoint. Investigate it. Nothing. Follow the next navpoint.

Investigate the Third Missing Satellite Navpoint

Joba

Travel to the Joba system. Scan for anomalies. You find one, and upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a comms buoy. Suvi says it’s a message buoy from an angaran ship. The angara came, didn’t see anything, and left this marker for the Tempest crew. You assume the message was from the team the astronomer sent. Follow their navpoint to Eriksson.

Travel to the Angaran Vessel’s Navpoint

Eriksson

Enter the Eriksson system and do a scan. You find starship wreckage. Inspect it closely—it’s an empty ship. No one inside is alive. Suvi downloads and analyses the logs. Scavengers got caught stealing satellites. The scavengers fought back, and the angara collided with the Scourge.

Travel to Kadara Port

Kadara Port

An exchange between you and Suvi fires when approaching Kadara. You’re then directed to find the scavenger’s camp. Stop in Kadara Port long enough to turn around and go down to the slums using the transit console.

Find the Satellite Scavenger Hideout

Kadara

From the Kadara Slums (3), use the forward station in Haarfel to fast travel. Your destination (4) is very close. If you don’t have that station deployed, call it down when you reach the site.

Defeat the Satellite Scavengers

At the camp, defeat the many Scavenger Sharpshooters, Adhi, and Raiders. Once you take them all out (use the radar to make sure), you can then look for the missing satellites.

Find the Missing Satellites

Enter the small building and find the shipping crate. The scavengers busted the satellites up into scrap.

Return to Maariko

You can choose to tell Maariko the truth by admitting the exiles stole the satellites, or lie and tell him that angara were responsible for the theft. No matter how you answer, the outcome is the same for you. You receive XP, a small amount of AVP, and Aya Viability +2%
