During Mission 3, be on the lookout for an email from Gil about playing poker in the Vortex on the Nexus. To receive the email, make sure you’ve exhausted all Tempest conversations with him. This mission becomes active after you read the email.
Meet Gil at the Vortex
Nexus: The Vortex
Next time you’re at the Nexus, enter the Vortex Bar and find Gil sitting at a table all the way against the right wall. At the beginning of the game, SAM offers to give you an advantage by reading Gil’s vitals. You can agree or refuse to cheat. Cheating has a negative impact if you’re trying to romance Gil; he starts talking about his friend Jill. You can respond positively or take a jab at him with a more jealous remark. At the end of the game, you can fess up and tell him you cheated…or not. If you confess, he relays to Jill that you’re also a cheat.
