Unlocking: Interact with the datapad located in the dome closest to the Tempest landing zone.
Locate the Datapad
H-047C
First Dome
From the Tempest landing zone (1) on H-047C, travel west toward the nearest “Hitting Rocks for Science” marker. The datapad that kick-starts this quest is inside the same dome (2) as the marked rock. Drive into the dome entrance and defeat all the Raiders, Sharpshooters, and Pariahs inside.
Enter the facility under the dome and find a Loadout interface—conveniently placed, since you can’t exit the Nomad while on the lunar surface to use a forward station for such needs. To the left of the Loadout interface is the datapad you’re after. It’s a message from Alvis that talks of helium-3 mining, and you get a single code snippet with which to enter the Outlaw Headquarters.
Locate the Outlaw Headquarters
You’ve discovered an Outlaw gang on H-047C. You need to gain access to their headquarters and stop the Outlaws from completing their plans.
Find the Three Code Snippets
Second Dome
Second Code Snippet
You found the first code snippet; now you must find two more. Exit the dome (2) and drive south to the next dome (3) indicated on the map. There are many more exiled helium miners here, plus a Hydra and turrets to deal with.
After clearing everything, you find the datapad with the second code snippet on the counter in the main building. This datapad is titled “Message for Krex.” Make sure to raid the container in the room behind the counter.
Third Dome
Last Code Snippet
Drive east to the third dome (4) and into the vehicle entrance. Inside are Raiders, a Pariah, an Anarchist, and Adhi. Defeat them all. Clear the area and search for containers and minerals. You also find element zero in here for “Hitting Rocks for Science.”
The third and last datapad containing a code snippet is located on the second floor of the main building under the dome. There are two datapads in this room; the one you want is on the shelf to the right as you enter. The name: “Progress Report.” Raid the large container in this room as well.
Outlaw Headquarters Dome
SAM marks the navpoint to the Outlaw Headquarters (5) on your map. Exit the dome and head west along the beaten path to clear canyons, and then north for the marked location. Along the way, SAM tells you the base comprises two mining domes. The second one can only be accessed with a passcode.
Enter the Headquarters
Inside the dome, expect more resistance than you met in the previous domes, but no Hydra. Defeat Anarchists, Pariahs, Adhi, and Raiders. Follow the navpoint to the doorway between domes, and use your passcode at the airlock console.
Clear the Headquarters
You’re tasked to clear all enemies from the smaller dome, including Raiders, a Berserker, an Anarchist, Adhi, and Krex, the last of which is the toughest of them all. Put the entire team on this krogan target to take him down. Scan the dead, especially the krogan Berserker if you’ve never scanned one before.
Discover Krex’s Plans
Follow the navpoint to the second floor in the main building. A container and the target datapad sit on a table to the left. The datapad is an audio log from Elora. She had plans to take out the Initiative colonies, and to do this, she needed lots of helium-3. She mentions that the Remnant tiller in the conservatory will help get the job done. SAM marks the conservatory on your map. This ends “From the Dust” and introduces you to a new quest: “The Remnant Tiller.”
