Combat powers can be used to deal heavy area-of-effect damage and increase the effectiveness of your weapons. A few great defensive powers also help players using combat powers to maintain more of a tank role, putting out steady damage-per-second with short bursts of damage from grenades and other abilities. Many combat powers require power cells for use.

- While the name may make Concussive Shot seem like a power used only for stunning enemies, it actually deals a high amount of damage.
- Enemies behind cover are not completely safe from the Concussive Shot. Aim a little bit above their cover to cause the shot to curve down and hit them.
