Find Liam in the crew’s quarters (1) on the Tempest and talk to him. If all other conversations are caught up, Liam asks you to take a break from all the madness and take a day out on Aya.
Talk to Liam at the Tavetaan on Aya
Aya: Tavetaan
You can always find Drack and Liam at the bar on Aya. Go there and talk to Liam (2). He asks if you’re ready to go hit those scans. When you ask what kind of scans he means, he replies, “Verand called out supplies that may have useful properties for our tech. Just need to get SAM’s eye on them.”
Scan the Hostile Vendor’s Goods
Run over to the market and scan the northernmost vendor’s booth (3). The vendor’s name is Xaan Ingil. Return to Liam (2) after the scan is acquired.
Talk to Liam at the Tavetaan
Talk to Liam at the Tavetaan (2). He apologizes for screwing up the date, and when pressed, he informs you that you were being cased. Liam says he was trying to gather data that would be helpful at the outposts. Verand told him what to scan, but Liam called it off. He apologizes and says it’s a food-security thing. You can take it easy on him or come down hard by choosing “Don’t blindside me” as your final conversation option. The choice is yours.
The conversation gets a little more intimate, and you can soften the last remark (if you chose to be stern) with an affectionate response…or not, depending if you’re trying to be exclusive with him or someone else. Completing this quest earns you 190 XP.
