The following must be done before you order an outpost for Voeld:
- Destroy the kett operations center: see “Remove the Heart”
- Learn about the angara’s past: see “Uncovering the Past”
- Speak to Eska Yeveth, the steward of Voeld: talk to Eska Yeveth after the previous objectives are complete
- Reach 40% Viability on Voeld: this can be done through side quests without solving monoliths and Remnant vault challenges
Find an Outpost Site
After meeting the given criteria (and playing the nice alien) and getting Eska Yeveth’s (1) blessing to settle on Voeld, you can find your location and build an outpost. Eska Yeveth is in Techiix in the back building behind Buxil’s place, by the way.
Find the planned outpost location (2) along the west edge of Voeld. There’s a memory trigger on a hill nearby, and you can erect a receiver for the task “Boosting the Signal” near the memory trigger. But only after building the outpost.
Create the Outpost
A conversation with a holographic Addison begins as soon as the outpost is built. She reluctantly congratulates you on a job well done. Again, she needs a great quote for the press. You acquire one Cyro Pod point, a load of AVP, and raise Voeld Viability by +20%.
