Brief Biography: Peebee walks to her own daredevil drumbeat and has an unrivalled thirst for adventure. She’s pathologically independent but manages to maintain a loose, even friendly spirit. Bored with the Milky Way, she would have done anything to join the Initiative—flirt, provide favors, fudge credentials. But to her, she was just hitching a ride to the great unknown.

Role on the Tempest

Remnant Expert

Peebee is the “go-to” for all Remnant-related inquiries. While the Remnant remain a mystery by and large, Peebee likely has accrued the most knowledge of them (out of everyone from the Milky Way at least). Peebee is credited for coining the term “Remnant,” as well as for naming all of the Remnant constructs encountered so far.

Personality Traits

  • Often wavering between overjoyed and comically annoyed
  • Carefree and cocky, but charismatic

Personal Background

Little is known about Peebee and information from Initiative records are practically unverifiable.

Rejecting a slow and stodgy asari lifestyle, Peebee left home at a relatively young age and never looked back. Attempting to channel her energies into a more constructive forum, Peebee became pathologically obsessed with academia for a time, collecting a series of degrees (twelve, to be exact) in a variety of subjects ranging from Botany to Hanar Theology to Automotive Engineering. In practice however, Peebee derived no relevant work history from those studies (“You know how some people become obsessed with mint chocolate chip ice cream? That was me and diplomas for a while,” she said). Instead, she drifted through an endless series of short-lived jobs, most notably—and incongruously—as a research technician at a biotech facility (she was fired after running unsanctioned evolutionary simulations based on proprietary data to win a bet with one of her superiors) and as an Eclipse mercenary (she walked off the job for reasons she never revealed, though it was here where she developed a deep fascination with firearms and marksmanship).

From the outside, Peebee seemed to be a cautionary tale of wasted potential—naturally brilliant but spoiled, unfocused and trivial. But in truth, Peebee was searching—desperately yearning not just for the thrill of adventure, but for a challenge. She sought a situation which would provide Peebee with the opportunity to truly exercise her mind on a canvas upon which no one had ever written. Her exposure to the Andromeda Initiative’s proposed expedition was facilitated by her friend and associate, Kalinda, an asari first contact specialist. With Kalinda’s help, Peebee schemed her way into joining the Initiative. Although further investigation on how she arrived on the Nexus and what her actual role is results in a variety of nebulous answers, and official inquiries do not find her listed in the station’s registry.

Fighting Style and Combat Tips

Summary: Born an asari, Peebee can manipulate and weave mass effect fields at will. In conjunction with her inherent biotic powers, she’s equipped with VI-hacking tech, used for weakening enemy defenses. Naturally, her role in combat is that of a saboteur, disabling and priming enemies with Pull and finding vulnerabilities with Invasion. She’s also a trained marksman, with the pistol being her preferred weapon when she isn’t dangling enemies in the air.

Synergies: Peebee specializes in crowd control. If she’s with you, expect to find your foes levitating helplessly, setting you up for an easy combo detonation finish. Invasion is one of the best powers in the game (particularly on Hardcore and Insanity difficulties), making Peebee the MVP in drawn-out encounters. It’s highly recommended that you upgrade her Pull and Invasion skills as often as possible to reduce the recharge times. Additionally, her combo primer is clear and easy to react to—if you see levitating enemies, finish them off with your detonator!

Notable Power Spikes: Virulence (Invasion, Rank 6) is an insanely powerful skill, especially considering Invasion is strong enough as it is. With Virulence, Peebee evolves from a debuffing saboteur into a destructive powerhouse, potentially taking out groups of weakened enemies on her own.

Radius (Pull, Rank 4) can be obtained relatively early, elevating Peebee’s crowd-control abilities to a high level. It’s highly recommended that you upgrade this for her as early as possible.

Weaknesses: Peebee doesn’t have much going for her in terms of defense, so frequently commanding her with explicit orders is advised. Consider her positioning and order her to regroup to you often, particularly if you’re up against several enemies. Watch her back so she can watch yours! Fortunately, her abilities can all be used from a safe distance, so order her to either regroup with you or to fall back when necessary. Otherwise, you can consider using the Re-Spec Station to allocate her skill points into the Survivalist tree (after investing them into Pull and Invasion, of course).
