You face three different enemy groups in Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Multiplayer missions. Each species has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. If you know what species you’ll be fighting against ahead of time, equipping the right weapons and picking the right characters makes the fight much easier. For full breakdowns of each enemy and its specific weaknesses, check out the Multiplayer Enemies chapter.
Outlaw Legion
The Outlaws are resourceful and gritty. They’re not an organized military force, nor do they have the best gear, but their greed and desperation make them merciless. Unlike other enemy groups, the Outlaws are made up of multiple species: humans, turians, angara, salarians, asari, and krogan.
Strong VS:
As is the case with other biological enemies, electric-based attacks are weak against the Outlaws. Long-range Sharpshooter units can knock you out of cover, forcing you to stand up and take damage from the oncoming wave of enemies. Make sure to have a few long-range weapons to quickly take out the Sharpshooter units.
Weak VS:
Fire-based attacks are strong against the Outlaws. Most of them favor armor over shields, making them perfect targets for fire-based attacks.
Remnant
“Remnant” is the umbrella term for the technological remains of an advanced species that abandoned the Heleus Cluster about 600 years before the events of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Remnant sentry bots, ranging from small Observers to gigantic Behemoths, keep vigil over devices capable of altering entire planets, maintaining and zealously defending their creators’ work.
Strong VS:
Fire-based attacks are a poor choice of tactic when facing the Remnant. Save your incendiary ammunition for biological-based enemies. The Remnant Assembler can construct Breachers—additional enemies that don’t count against the enemy wave cap—to flush you out of cover. With the Assemblers’ ability to each create at least one Breacher, a single player can quickly be overrun.
Weak VS:
Electricity-based attacks are a must when facing the Remnant. Not only do electricity attacks quickly tear down their shields, but Remnant take bonus damage as a consequence of their synthetic makeup.
Kett
Many different species have been absorbed and genetically engineered to compose the kett. As a result, the kett have acquired and shared amongst themselves the powers gained from these various species.
Strong VS:
Biological and heavily armored, the kett are resistant to electricity-based attacks.
Weak VS:
Kett have the standard fire-based weakness, but they tend to attack from close range, compared to their enemies. Keep a shotgun or other close-range weapon on hand to combat them as they advance on you.
