Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition Guide › Secondary Ops

Peebee’s Remnant Scanner

Mission Type: Allies and Relationships

Prerequisite: Advance “Peebee’s Secret Project” up to visiting her Nexus apartment to see Poc

Start Location: Tempest

Unlocking: Read email from Peebee

Peebee Loyalty Mission Order

Since our guide lists these missions in alphabetical order, it’s important to understand the chronological order as well. “Peebee’s Secret Project” is the first quest you do for her concerning Remnant tech. This involves acquiring Rem-tech from Voeld, then speaking to her in the escape pod. Next, visit her Nexus apartment to be introduced to Poc. The mission ends here, and the story continues as “Peebee’s Remnant Scanner.” During this mission, you find three Rem-tech pieces, taking you from Eos to Havarl to Kadara. Then you must reclaim Poc in “Reclaiming Poc.” This leads to using the scanner to unlock her final Loyalty Mission, “A Mysterious Remnant Signal.”

Read Email from Peebee

Tempest

Read your email either from your room on the Tempest or from the email terminal (1) on the bridge. The email from Peebee is titled “New Project.” It arrives after you visit her Nexus apartment to see Poc for the first time during “Peebee’s Secret Project” (which goes on hold afterward).

Speak to Peebee on the Tempest

Don’t run off; head right into the escape pod (2) where Peebee hangs out and works on research projects. Walking in triggers an automatic conversation. She explains her Remnant scanner concept and tells you she needs three specific pieces of Rem-tech to put it all together. Scan Poc before you leave the escape pod. Now you must find rare Remnant tech so Peebee can perfect her scanner.

Go to the Remnant Ruins on Eos

Eos: Outland Spire

Travel to Eos and use the forward station (3) to fast travel to the Outland Spire area, where you find a Remnant console (4) to interface with, which raises Remnant pillars out of the toxic lake.

Use the pillars and the cloaked bridges to get from the shore to the small island containing the Remnant ruins (5). Destroy the Observers and Breachers along the way.

Recover a Rem-Tech Piece on Eos

Jump down off the last pillar to the island of Remnant ruins. Defeat the Remnant on the island and pick up the Remnant relic from beside the Remnant console on the platform. At that point, dropship arrives and deploys a team of Roekaar Raiders with a Berserker (6). Defeat these guys as well as the remaining Remnant bots and Creepers. You earn a small amount of AVP and increase Eos Viability by +2% for recovering the relic. Use the Remnant console (7) on the north side of the island to activate the horizontal Gravity Well that transports you back to land (or use a forward station via the menu map).

Go to the Remnant Ruins on Havarl

Havarl

From the landing zone (8), head to the Central Wilds forward statin (9) and then due north to the Remnant ruins (10). You run into wildlife on the way there and probably when you reach the ruins. At the ruins, there are Remnant Observers and Assemblers to deal with. Enter the vault.

Recover a Rem-Tech Piece on Havarl

Havarl Remnant Vault

Take the Gravity Well (11) down to the lower vault and enter the next chamber (12) with the large force field window. Head through the tunnel on the left, and then take a right (13) in the next chamber to follow the tunnels that lead to the target chamber (14).

Look behind the door (opposite the force field window) to find a woman standing in a container room (15). You meet Rylie inside. Her team tried to clear out the vault but couldn’t defeat the many Remnant constructs. A krogan runs the field crews; she says his name is Krank or Krankit, or something. Peebee’s second Remnant piece is in the container behind Rylie. Take it. You receive the coordinates for the final piece on Kadara, plus a little AVP and +2% Havarl Viability. Defeat the bots and get back to the Tempest.

Go to the Remnant Ruins on Kadara

Kadara

While on Kadara, head to the Remnant site (16) near the vault in Haarfel. You notice all the clutter as you approach. Then the enemies mess up things even more.

Defeat the Outlaws

Defeat the Outlaw Raiders from around the monolith.

Search the Kadara Site for a Rem-Tech Piece

Look for the Remnant relic in the small container near the stack of larger containers. Instead, you find a datapad containing a message from Krannit. He says he has what you’re looking for and that he’ll meet you and your asari at Kadara Port. He intends to sell the piece to you. If you’re leaving now, use the Kadara Slums Forward Station (17) to get into the slums and then into Kadara Port via lift.

Meet Peebee to Acquire the Rem-Tech Piece from the Outlaw Krogan

Kadara Port

When you reach Kadara Port, find Peebee (18) standing on the second-level balcony overlooking the lovely city. You ask her if the krogan has showed yet. She’s waiting to buy one final piece of rem-tech to finish her scanner. Krannit’s crew keeps showing up to sites you guys hit. Peebee suspects they’re following you. Kallo interrupts the conversation and, over comms, tells you and Peebee that someone has broken into her apartment and stolen Poc. This begins the “Reclaiming Poc” adventure.
