Destroy Five Kett Devices
Voeld
The kett have attempted to weaponize the Remnant, with little success. To put a stop to their research, you need to destroy the kett’s output devices. There are five total. Destroying any one of them begins this task. Find them as they randomly spawn at Remnant sites. Each device has a skull icon above it. Shoot the devices to destroy them. Expect various Remnant enemies at these locations.
The devices spawn randomly at any number of static Remnant sites. You can often find them at the following locations: (1), (2), (3), (4), (5). If you don’t find them at the locations we’ve listed, keep searching the similar sites around Voeld. When you destroy the fifth kett device, SAM says the devices were transmitting data to a location on Voeld, and a navpoint is set on a secret Remnant vault (6).
Kett Device 1
We found this Remnant site (1) consistently holds a kett device.
Kett Device 2
This Remnant site (2) is the closest to the angaran Resistance base, and we found it regularly holds a kett device.
Kett Device 3
This Remnant site (3) with crashed ship parts sometimes holds a kett device.
Kett Device 4
This Remnant site (4) near the north holding site has a high probability of containing a kett device.
Kett Device 5
This small Remnant site (5) usually holds a kett device.
Other Remnant Sites
If you’re not having any luck finding the kett devices at the sites we’ve called out previously, check our map for other Remnant sites where the devices might spawn (see the orange dots on the map).
Enter the Remnant Facility
Once you’ve destroyed five kett devices, the Remnant vault (6) hidden deep in an ice gully north of the Hjara station becomes accessible. Enter the vault and use the Gravity Well to get to the first chamber below.
Eliminate the Kett
Eliminate the Chosen in the Gravity Well.
Investigate the Console
Climb the back platform in the Gravity Well and use the kett console that sits next to an inactive Remnant console.
Destroy All Four Output Devices
Follow the bent tunnel to the next chamber. Destroy the Destined and Chosen along the way. When you enter the large chamber, notice the four navpoints going off in three directions. Each leads to a kett device you need to shoot and destroy (just like the ones outside).
If you start with the rightmost first, the next is in a hallway with some Chosen. Find the third in another chamber. Defeat the Chosen and Anointed here, and keep following navpoints to reach the kett devices. Destroy all four devices, and the signal goes offline. That completes the quest, and you earn a small amount of AVP and Voeld Viability +2%.
